Residence Inn by Marriott Olathe Kansas City

Old property that had an old smell. Room had a smell. Bedding was questionable.

Do not book here. They do not accomplish the service you reserve. The room was in deplorable condition and they do not recognize it, don't even reply the requests. The bathtub had a mat and below it you feel a decayed surface and bubbly, unsteady bath floor. The mattress was terrible, you could feel the bed structure as it was expired mattress. The property is old and the area smells.

Breakfast is ok, could be better. Staff is fine. We don’t need daily housekeeping.

Ice machine not working. The outdoor grill wasn't working to start with. They have a new grill now. Breakfast is good. Staff fantastic. When we've had issues the staff has taken care them in a timely manner.

When I travel with multiple kids I much prefer to stay at residence, as they provide up to 2 bedrooms which does give privacy for everyone who stays

Had a $3 charge on my bill that should not hAVE BEEN THERE. oUTSIDE OF THAT i WAS VERY IMPRESSED.

Unfortunately the property is so neglected that it only represents the Residence Inn brand through the configuration of rooms. Bad plumbing and AC made it a challenge. The staff moved us, but it only solved one issue. I’m amazed that they can retain such amazing employees when they have to apologize and try to accommodate guests day in and day out.

Ice machine Broken with portable ice machine with no scoop. Extremely expensive on holiday weekend. Carpet coming up. Regular AC in room non-operational, so they had a portable unit in the corner. Breakfast not kept stocked. People waiting around with no refilling doing prime breakfast time. Workers were very nice. Besides that, a definite no-go.

Clean. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. Tasty breakfast. Room was on the loud side - hotel AC was the culprit. Toilet worked but had flushing issues. Would stay there again, though.

Clean room, outstanding staff from front desk to housekeeping!!

Juat checked my bank and got charged $30 more than what my booking said. The pool was closed and the listing did not say that. A/C in the room was broken where we had to change rooms. Someones random medication was left in our room. Room 2 doors down was full of smoke and hall smelled awful. Was not told to leave or anything in case of fire. Staff was kind about the situation, but it still was not ideal at all.

The room was nice. Everything we needed was in the kitchen. You could tell the fold out sofa matteress was old and worn but thankfully my 6 year old didnt care. The room was very clean and the staff were very nice. Breakfast was ok,

Front desk agent was super kind. The room was a disaster. The fireplace didn’t work; it would turn off and on and off and on. The TV only kinda worked; everything took forever to register action from the remote and sound and subtitles did not work together. The carpet in the main room was tattered and torn. The smaller bedroom had no airflow and was so hot all night, I had to kick the covers off - but the bigger bedroom was chilly and my friend had on an extra blanket. The shower head in the smaller room’s bathroom had red mold growing on it (the kind that’s very easy to wipe off). And the faucet on the tub in the bathroom in the bigger bedroom was such a constant drip that it was almost a small stream. The window in the main room was janky and didn’t shut properly. The whole place is in a general state of rundown.
