Stayed for 5 days for our Universal Studios trip. This location was very convenient and even walkable to City Walk and Universal. It will take about 25 minutes if you decide to walk. Breakfast was hotel typical. Nice place. Offered 4-5 different shuttle times to and from the Universal parks.

Breakfast should have more options to eat for non-pork eater

We have stayed at this hotel twice before and always had a good experience, which is why we booked it again for our family vacation. Unfortunately, this stay was completely different. Although we booked almost two months in advance and informed the hotel that we would arrive late, we were told upon arrival that the hotel had overbooked and our reserved room was no longer available. The replacement room they gave us had a door that would not lock properly. I politely asked for another room because I did not feel safe staying there. Instead of resolving the problem, the manager became angry, accused me of being rude, and told my family to leave the hotel. He even threatened to call the police—and did. At around 1:00 AM, my family, including my 13-year-old child, was escorted out of the hotel. My child was frightened and cried throughout the incident. This situation began because of the hotel's own overbooking and the defective room they assigned us, yet we were treated as though we had done something wrong simply for asking for a safe room. This experience completely ruined the beginning of our vacation. I have filed formal complaints with Marriott and Booking.com and hope this incident is fully investigated. I cannot recommend this hotel based on the way we were treated.

Recently I’m staying with my family, the staff, room and amenities were excellent. I’m very satisfied with the hotel staff and location near to universal parks.

The people who work there were so very kind and helpful. We did have an issue with bus in the room and we didn't feel comfortable using the pool, it didn't seem clean and had some food (grapes) in it.

I really like Fairfield Inn because its locations are always convenient, the rooms are reliably clean, and the whole vibe is straightforward without being pretentious. Plus, the breakfast is solid and the rates are reasonable, so it consistently feels like great value for the money. I just wish they'd include lotion alongside the shampoo and body wash. It's a small thing, but after a long day, having to bring my own.

What makes this more frustrating is that I spoke with the hotel the day before my arrival and specifically discussed my reservation. Even the alternative room arrangement we discussed was not honored. Traveling with a group of nine guests, I had very few options and was forced to stay despite not receiving the accommodations I paid for. I even had to purchase an air mattress at my own expense to ensure everyone had a place to sleep. The General Manager was unprofessional, dismissive of my concerns, and falsely claimed to Expedia that I had been accommodated with the room type I reserved. I also felt threatened when he mentioned removing me from the property. To make matters worse, the pool was dirty and poorly maintained. Overall, the hotel failed to honor a confirmed reservation, provided poor customer service, and created a stressful experience for my family. I would not recommend this property. Hearing the General manager say "that is why people should book third party" made me feel like I was less for doing that. So dissapointed and hope that this doesnt happen to other families. I learned from this and I dont trust Marriot or expedia with my future family vacations.

Staff was polite and helpful. Property is a little dated, but it was clean and beds were comfy.

Location by far was the best thing about hotel. It had a shuttles to all Universal resorts with good am leaving times but I would have like more return times. It was only a 25 minute walk to City walk and universal islands of adventure if you did not want to be tied to shuttle times. Breakfast was good although not much variety on hot items scrambled eggs and sausage almost every am. Place was clean but dated a remodel would be nice in my opinion it was a bit dated. Furniture in rooms and breakfast area could be replaced and microwaves in room would be nice

The first room my family and I were given was not clean. I went to take a shower and looked up and the ceiling looked like it was gonna come down. I was given another room, which had a terrible odor. My family and I will not return to this property again.

The breakfast was good, with lots of choices. The attendant, Maria, kept everything well-stocked and clean. The shuttle to Universal made it easy to vacation without renting a car and paying for parking at the park.
