Residence Inn by Marriott Near Universal Orlando™

Upon my stay, I ran into several inconveniences. While that might deter you from staying, I continued my stay due to the excellent quality of the staff. Every time there was an issue, the staff always jumped to help and make things right and that to me means a lot more than staying at some super fancy hotel. Plus, it’s definitely great for solo travelers and it’s right across the street from Universal Studios. You definitely get a bag for your bargain. I plan on returning several more times it is definitely going to be in my favorites list.

Fresh clean comfortable Pool was a little small and had mold around it

The room was excellent! Nice size and the kitchenette is was a plus The system they have for scheduling a shuttle to universal is not good. They tell you you need to schedule between 7 am and 11 am the day before or the same day. The first day several guest and I were wating to schedule and the person in charge nevwr showed up. The next day we tried the same qnd the rides for 7:20 and 8 something were already full. Had to take uber to the park. Be aware of this!

Hotel was nice and clean, rooms spacious and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only downside my rooms wasn’t refreshed during my entire 5 days stay at the hotel.

I liked that the hotel was very close to universal studios. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was ok. We loved the pool. I didn't like that housekeeping wasn't daily. The sofa in our room was well over due to be discarded and replaced. It had definitely done it's time. Our wallpaper was peeling in a corner of the room. The carpets could do with a professional steam clean also.

Only issue was housekeeping supposed to come every second day, they didn’t. But was able to get clean towels from the very friendly staff at the front desk.

The hotel is very clean, friendly and professional staff.

Upon check in all seemed ok but the room seemed a little stuffy. 2 days in the a/c kept shutting off 3rd day in had to call the front desk as the a/c unit stopped working. Day 4 maintenance came evaluated the unit and replaced it. Since we were going to the parks all day it was really frustrating to come back to a warm room…

You can’t really beat the value or location. Very close to Universal and Sea World; not too far from Disney either. Free breakfast has quite a few options; it was not the best food, but a lot of options including three hot dishes that seemed to follow a pattern of eggs, meat, and carb. Beds were comfortable, hotel was very clean, and rooms were spacious. When we checked in the gentleman at the desk wasn’t very courteous; he was respectful, but the transaction felt rushed and not welcoming. Everyone else was very helpful. There were a number of little things that were lacking attention to detail, and we struggled with the tv the last night…sound and/or picture would go out every five minutes.

We were there with the kids and friends. It is very close to many popular areas to visit. It was very clean, staff professional and good breakfast for the money. We actually consider going again. The only thing not mentioned on their site is that the shuttle is every hour and if you are a group more than 6 or so you can’t go together.

We like the property and personnel at the buffet Breackfast very nice. The only thing that I don’t like is the clean of the room every one day to clean, but overall nice place to stay.

The location from Universal and the outlet mall. Their willingness and urgency to help when there is a problem.

Great hotel and staff! Room was clean. The only negative was our room smelled like a dog had stayed there and made a mess. It was clean, but the smell still lingers.
