La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Orlando Universal area

The location is a 5min drive to Universal. And 5 min from fast food and essentials (Walgreens) The AC was very low output. We set the cold to 69° on auto and it would barely blow. Not uncomfortable, but we prefer cold.

The gym was great You could hear everything and everyone and charged a early fee no receipt upon request as I left they said I could just get it from booking and never saw my deposit

The staff was extremely helpful. The bed was very high and hard. The pool outside was small but well kept. I also found a dead cockroach in the bathroom.

The breakfast was very good and the hotel has a great location. Also, the staff at the reception and the breakfast attendant were extremely attentive and provided wonderful service! My experience at this hotel was unfortunately concerning. It was my first time visiting Orlando and my first time staying at La Quinta Inn, and on the second day of my stay, I found a small tick on my foot inside the room. I have photos and videos documenting what happened. The solution provided was to clean the room, but I do not feel that this was enough considering the situation. Ticks can carry diseases and can be dangerous, so this is something that should be taken seriously. There were no dogs or pets included in our reservation, so it would not be reasonable to assume that the tick came from our own pet. This made me concerned about the hotel’s pest control and cleanliness. If there was one small tick in the room, it is concerning to think that there could be more. I also sent an email to the hotel notifying them of what happened so that there would be a formal record of the situation. I do want to mention that the service from the breakfast attendant was very good. She was kind, attentive, and helpful. The front desk staff were also very friendly and provided good service. My main concern is the cleanliness and pest control of the rooms. I hope the hotel takes this seriously and checks the rooms carefully to prevent other guests from experiencing the same situation.

Could use some painting and updating but served out purposes of being clean and comfortable for our short stay. Also a better shop could be had.

How close it was to Universal Studios and that it had transportation to Universal Studios. Liked that the room had a microwave in it. The hotel had a very strong smell from thr cleaning supplies when we checked in. I got a really bad headache from being in our room and had to leave to get fresh air. The beds were super hard and uncomfortable..
