Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort

First thing I was surprised on parking fee because on the app don’t say that. The other thing was when I show up to play bowling they told me they are all booked you need to do reservation online for the other day I was just on night there. Beds are really uncomfortable old bathrooms. Lazy river was really slow. Very disappointed.

Great trip

We stayed in an interior family suite for 6 nights. For a family of four with two kids, there’s plenty of room. The beds and pillows are comfortable. Our youngest slept on the pull out sofa which he could handle, but I thought it was a little too firm for my liking. The room was very clean as was the property. It could use some touching up and the hallway walls are pretty banged up from the luggage carts. Every staff member we encountered was very nice and helpful. You can text them at anytime for anything including needing extra pillows, request housekeeping, and really any questions you have. The food at the Bayliner Diner and Galaxy Bowl restaurant were good. The milkshakes from the Shake Shop were also good. The convenience of having Volcano Bay next door was nice. Honestly, there’s really nothing bad I have to say about our stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Cabana Bay is beautiful and unique. The short walk to Volcano Bay and ease of hopping on the bus right from the resort to all of the Universal attractions, made booking this resort totally worth it. There was plenty of parking. The food choices at Bayliner Diner inside the resort was delicious, and you can also get pizza delivered to your room at the touch of a button. The pools are huge with a nice lazy river and plenty of life guards on staff. The staff was wonderful and friendly. Housekeeping freshened up our beds every day. My daughter had her favorite blanket and stuffed animal and they would tuck it in on the bed each day. Just little gestures like that made the stay fun. Will definitely be back.

Very much appreciated the housekeeping staff who kept the room well-maintained & orderly. Dining staff was most accommodating & helpful. All staff were remarkably respectful & courteous. Thx for looking out for us.

Loved all the amenities and proximity to Volcano Bay and City Walk. This was an amazing vacation. I’d recommend a day just to stay at the hotel to swim, relax, and maybe bowl. We enjoyed the food at Bayliner diner plus the convenience of a food on property. Loved the pools were open until 11pm and the ice cream shop.

A fun place with lots of water activities. Many outdoor games for everyone. A gym, bowling alley and a lazy river. We had a blast!

Best place to stay. Acces to all theme parks hour early. Plenty of food and bars at resort

The tower rooms are much quieter and the hallways and rooms appear to be better maintained. The rooms along the corridors leading from the lobby, especially on level one are quite well worn and noisy as everyone walks up and down the Halls to get to and from the lobby area. There is a lot of walking to get to the rooms with a lot of buildings, approximately 2,000 rooms. Some corridors are outdoors some indoors. There are two outdoor pools. One has a lazy river. However, if you wish to use one of the floats from the hotel, you have to pay between 12 to $20 per day. You can bring your own inflatable float and a lot of people did. It's better probably to stop off at a dollar store and buy a couple for the length to stay. There's a bar and a quick serve grill by main pool. The other pool is largely the same but with a small water slide instead of the lazy river. The pools started to get busy by 1pm. There are some beach umbrellas but they go fast. When we were at the water slide pool the waterfall was off for some reason. There's also a bar in the lobby at counter service restaurant and a counter service malt shop. Bus shuttles to theme parks were convenient.
