Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort

I liked the retro theme and the staff was great. The location was also a plus. We found a cockroach in our entryway and it ruined our entire experience. They offered to switch us to a different room. We had to thoroughly inspect all of our belongings to make sure we didn't bring anything home.

This place was AMAZING!!! Our kids had so much fun in the pools, slides and hot tub. There was plenty of options for food at affordable prices. The kids are already talking about going back to the same place next year. Highly recommend staying at Cabana Bay Beach resort!!

Stepping onto the property feels like stepping back into a simpler, more vibrant era—a time when electronics didn't control the world, family vacations meant uninterrupted time spent together, and quality time was made up of sitting around, sharing stories, and laughing. What We Loved: * The Atmosphere: The retro theme is executed so well and creates the perfect environment to just unplug and be present. * Top-Notch Amenities: From floating down the lazy river and relaxing by the fire pits to lounging on the soft sand that feels just like being at the beach. Plus, the complimentary shuttles made getting around completely hassle-free. * Exceptional Staff: The team here is so caring, helpful, and welcoming. Everyone had a smile on their face and made us feel comfortable asking any question, big or small. Final Thoughts: Two days were definitely not enough to take in all the relaxation and fun this place has to offer. Whether you are looking for an action-packed family adventure or a relaxing romantic getaway, this resort is a 10 out of 10! We will definitely be back.

We absolutely loved Cabana Bay! We stayed for 5 nights and had a wonderful experience. The resort was clean, colorful, fun, and very family-friendly. The pools were amazing, and I loved that towels were provided right at the pool and that there were lifeguards on duty. The bowling alley was such a fun bonus too! We were also really impressed with the food court. Never waited long and There were plenty of food choices and everything was very convenient. We really felt like we got our money’s worth staying here and would absolutely choose Cabana Bay again! Honestly, there wasn’t much we didn’t like! The resort is very large, so there can be quite a bit of walking depending on where your room is located, but that’s to be expected with a resort this size. Nothing about our stay would keep us from coming back. We had a great experience and would definitely stay here again!

The room was $318 for 1 night plus $26 for parking. When I checked the bed & moved the pillows underneath were black specs on the white sheets & I googled it & it said this is evidence of bed bugs. So nasty!! Both orange headboards were ripped & had huge white chunks missing out of them. There were huge chunks of plaster marks on the wall. For the amount I spent the room was absolute pos. The entire property needs updating walls are marked up or filthy, carpets in hallways stained. They should not be charging as much as they do thats for sure!!!

The staff was so professional and helped us check in and he was amazing. The amenities were all clean. The dining experience was amazing and the food was so great and fresh. I would absolutely stay there again 1 million times!!

Stayed here before always a nice place. Decor a little dated and battered in our room but may not be case for all. We are staying again shortly won't put us off.

it was cool to see a retro hotel and in such a grand scale. but the hotel is cheaply made and needs a little bit of upkeep. we got the farthest room possible and it was a solid 10 minute, 400m walk so make sure you ask to get a building that's closer to the lobby.

The resort over all was good, the bed head in my room was peeling off, nevertheless the room was clean and we had an awesome view. The young lady at reception was very helpful and told us a lot about what’s going on. Very good food options and I love that they had a Starbucks on property. I’ll give this resort a 8/10… will be back!
