Universal’s Loews Portofino Bay Hotel

Excellent stay. My family had a great time at this hotel. Loved having the express pass as well. Will definitely go back.

Check in was not welcoming and $200 pending charge per night is extortionate. Amenities good but spread out over a large area and confusing layout

We only stayed for one night but don’t think we would return. The room was clean but there was some rubbish left on the floor and an old coffee pod left in the machine. The harbour was beautiful both by day and night but the place felt quite soulless. The shops are quite expensive. A pack of 4 cookies and a small bag of crisps cost £8.63! So purchase your snacks at the supermarket! The water taxis are great but when they are shut due to weather the bus situation at the park is beyond a joke with hundreds of people for 4 hotels at one bus stop.

We absolutely love staying at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel! From the moment you walk in, the resort smells **SO good** and everything is beautiful and incredibly clean. After a long day at the theme parks, it was so nice to come back to a clean and comfortable room every night. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming, and there are plenty of great cafés and restaurants right at the resort, which made things so convenient. We were also pleasantly surprised with a **complimentary upgrade to a Deluxe Room**, which gave our family some extra space and made our stay even more comfortable. One of the biggest perks of staying here is the **unlimited Express Pass** included with our stay for Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. It made such a huge difference during our theme park days! We also loved having **Early Park Admission**, as well as the convenient bus transportation and water taxi to the parks. After busy days riding rides and exploring the parks, coming back to this beautiful, relaxing resort was exactly what we needed. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Loews Portofino Bay Hotel! ❤️🏨✨

Resort looks fantastic, lots of facilities, great location, and spacious / clean rooms. Reception staff were very helpful and welcoming. Great value when factoring in express passes. Cleaners repeatedly knocked on our door hours ahead of check out time.

Location for universal parks. Unique hotel. Considering the price and premium universal hotel: Leaves in pool first thing in morning at opening. No luggage or guest transfer service between universal premium hotels when staying at another premium hotel on consecutive nights.

A great recreation of Portofino, excellent location for Universal parks with free transportation. The boats in particular were great as was the beautiful walkway to the 2 parks. Express passes for the 4 of us for 2 weeks saved a huge amount of money. Great restaurants on site and 3 very different pools. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff from the managers down to the cleaners. We liked everything

The property didn’t feel busy or over crowded. Lots of places to eat and the accommodation was lovely. Would love to have stayed longer. Nothing to dislike.

Mattresses were tacos and needed replaced but everything else was awesome.

We had a holiday home in the greater Orlando area. Booked portofino for 2 nights to be closer to Universal and use the express passes. We’ve done this at the hard rock twice before, wanted to try something different. We were pleased with the choice. Nice big rooms, adjoining for our family. Hotel was very clean and quiet. Couldn’t hear other guests at all

However the room was probably a quarter mile walk from front desk - which was overcrowded as expected in a place like that - which made it a real hassle to push our luggage also considering the really thick carpets. Also the onsite restaurants are frankly not very good for the price (and we’re very used to fine-dining). Checkout was messy, couldn’t get out of the garage, had to walk to front desk twice until they finally solved it and let me out.

Amazing hotel with a lovely boat ride to the parks each day. Express park with hotel is a great touch.
