Clarion Collection Wilkie's Inn Pacific Grove - Monterey

Didn’t like the lobby area.

My room was hot and AC did not work. My bed felt like it was going to break, this place looked like a motel. Room was tiny and no decor.

Excellent location. About a ten minute drive to downtown Monterey, but very close to downtown Pacific Grove. This is a small inn feel, but very comfortable and clean, which is what is most important to me. The breakfast was very basic. We only stayed one night, but I’d find other options if we were there for a multiple day stay.

Hotel did not have enough space for parking, we end up parked on the street at night. The hotel is old & the room is musty. With the money the hotel charging people, they should remodel.

Not much. Place needs up dates and is very outdated. Needs paint job to confined and no room in all area..

Room was clean, remodeled, and comfy. Hotel is very much motel/lodge style with rooms opening to outside parking area, but felt very safe and secure. Parking is tight but sufficient. The breakfast/lobby was very limited and could use an upgrade. The hotel is within walking distance of a quirky restaurant and the monarch sanctuary. Overall nice stay, but rather expensive for what you get.

The rooms and bathrooms were recently renovated, so good The breakfast and reception are the same and congested

Clean, comfortable, amazing location easy walk away from Pacific Grove’s downtown. Perfect amount of parking for the rooms. Overall very well maintained Sink was sort of insecurely attached to the wall, which was a little sketchy.

It was so quiet and so calm. i loved how peaceful it was. away from the crowd and next to the beach parking was great. also deer were close by and it was very cute. the bed was very very rickety. barely sat on it and it creeked and i felt so bad during night when i kept moving around.

I liked the refrigerator and microwave. I had cereal and coffee for breakfast, that was handy. My room was always cleaned when I got back in the afternoon. The staff could be friendlier.

Easy parking, easy check in, clean rooms. Would definitely stay here again next time in the area.

it was clean, quiet, comfy and location is great! They even have a waffle maker for breakfast!

Great location close to downtown.

This is a great location! 15 minute walk to Asilomar Beach. It was very clean and the staff was friendly. There was a woman staying there the same weekend who claimed we were being very noisy but really we just got back from Cannery Row late and we’re trying our hardest to be quiet. Her complaint was the door to our room was squeaking every time we opened it and closed it and she demanded that we stay in our room! That made our stay a little unpleasant. We wanted to stay up and play cards, but we’re too afraid to make noise. The walls are quite thin and it was unfortunate that we had to shut our time together down and all go back to our rooms.

It was clean. The bed should have gone to the dumps. Very uncomfortable and noisy. Loud noisy wall heater. At check in the lady was rude. And breakfast was undesirable.

The property was okay. It was clean but could use an update on the mattresses. The breakfast was better than expected
