The hotel is situated in a lovely setting. The breakfast is excellent, and the breakfast staff are fantastic. The beds are a bit soft, but this didn't negatively affect my sleep. The room was dated and had wall-to-wall carpeting—a major downside—though it was clean. What is very annoying, however, is when reception staff are more interested in chatting with each other than attending to guests; it is highly unprofessional.

The breakfast was included, and while it was nothing special, it was decent considering it was complimentary. Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience with the bathroom. The toilet became clogged, and when I contacted the front desk for help, they only provided a plunger but no any assistance. We were basically left to deal with the problem myself, which was very frustrating and disappointing.

The room smelled a bit like an old campfire due to the fireplace, but by the second day the smell had permeated clothing in the closet! The carpets were well stained in the hallways and worn, and the bed was not the most comfortable. The breakfast offered was more than disappointing, and not having coffee in the rooms as advertised was inconvenient.

Location was great. Very peaceful area. Good breakfast. The walls are not sound proof or at least our room wasn’t. It had a connecting door. No tea available in the lobby or our room.

Hotel needs a renovation, everything is old and outdated.

The staff person at the front desk was particularly attentive, particularly well informed, and particularly skilled. We arrived late in the middle of a preplanned holiday and had to maneuver around the city as well as get settled in our room. He helped us in all capacities. In fact, I don’t think we’ve ever seen a customer service representative for a hotel quite as helpful as this young man was to us. The breakfast was generous; and they had some super food foods mixed in for the oatmeal, etc. Perhaps just some vegetables to help balance out the carbs. Cucumbers. Celery Romain lettuce.

I would never stay here again. The place is in total shambles. Stains everywhere, showers have a mind of their own for temperature, Awful smell in the whole establishment, and to top it off we ITCHED & SCRATCHED all night. BED BUGS OR SOMETHING. Slept in 2 different queens. Both of us experienced the same.

We really enjoyed our stay at the monarch hotel . Rooms were comfortable and clean and the Breakfast was very good especially the cappuccino coffee ♥️♥️

The place was in a good location, but it was a little dated. I would stay there again, if the price was right..

The balcony was dirty. Bunch of debris on the floor, ledges were filthy and spider webs. Breakfast was okay but no protein except for hard boiled eggs.
