Great staff , great hot tub area , clean rooms , nice location

My room was exceptionally clean. It is a pet friendly hotel, but there were no signs of dog smell or hair visible. The only recommendation I have is to include a box of tissues in the room.

This is an okay place to stay. It’s budget friendly in a nice location. Close to downtown Monterey and Carmel, but not walkable. The bathroom in the cottage is a bit awkward since there is a door from each bedroom that only slides shut. No privacy. The sink is on the other side of the bedrooms. I wouldn’t share with friends, but it’s okay for a close family. A bit tight for our family of 5. Friendly staff.

They were so wonderful on site! Also, this is located close to EVERYTHING! I plan to stay there again!

My main go to place to stay on the Monterey Peninsula. The Entire staff is very kind always greets with a smile on their faces. My favorite staff member is Annette always goes above and beyond the call of duty.

Friendly staff. Relaxing stay enjoyed the area. Easy to walk to beach trail,downtown PG and golf course!

This hotel is very tired and in desperate need of an overhaul. I stayed in the same room as last year and they still hadn't fixed the hole in the bathroom tile or the decomposing wood trim. The bed was not very comfortable and the cable stopped working the first night. I chose this hotel because of the hot tub, but the inside of the tub is decomposing so badly that it was uncomfortable to sit on and there was actually a pile of sand at the bottom. The maintenance of this hotel is very poor. It's a great location, but I can't honestly recommend it.

Easy parking, clean room, good communication, great location.

Cute and clean room. Good size shower. Would have loved a little table or shelf space in the bathroom for my stuff. Very comfy bed. Loved having my car right outside my door. Good location: close to the downtown area with shops and restaurants as well as a short drive to the ocean.

Getting to the hotel was a breeze and checking in Annette was very nice and helpful mapping out some scenic areas around our hotel lodge! The walls are very thin and noisy if there is another person staying next to you. Otherwise the stay was comfy and also inside the room were a fan and heater if you needed them. The Air Conditioner was not working in room 418 I do not know if that’s standard for all the rooms, but the breeze from the windows was good enough for us. I’ll rate this stay a 8.8/10!

However, overall the property can be run much better. Housekeeping came v late to clean the room (~4 pm), no paper towels or Kleenex, some of the plates/glasses were not clean. Each of these are minor issues, but adding all together, it seems they skimp on the basic stuff a bit more than one would expect.

It was not good. We found curly hairs in the shower and our bath towels had yellow stains on them. The tv was held up with tape.

Reception was friendly and the check in process was quick and efficient. The room looked as pictured and was equipped with a TV, which featured the World Cup, a heater, fan, ironing board, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and ice bucket. The bathroom was large, the water was hot and the bed was comfortable. It's a renovated motel, so parking is right outside your door. Noise-wise, it's a lottery depending on the location of the room you get and if you're in the section with rooms above or near the hot tub or families with children. My biggest issue was temperature control, as there is no heat or A/C despite there being a thermostat. You can open the windows and blinds to let air in, but if it's a warm, sunny day, it may be challenging to get the room to cool down. I'd consider staying long here again as it's a great location, clean and safe. It might be better off-peak weekends and when school is back in session, as you can hear lots of people out and about talking. I appreciated that they allowed dogs, which is always a positive.

It’s a good spot with lovely staff and it’s reasonably priced, but the room was very warm and the bed was uncomfortable. I could feel the springs digging into my body and there was no softness/comfort to the mattress. We also needed two box fans to cool the room down since it wasn’t getting any air flow from outside. Barring those two issues, it’s a nice stay for a quick weekend get away.

The front desk guy was great. Very informative and kind. The room itself needs an upgrade. Bathroom for sure needs not be updated.
