Olympia Lodge

Just a single night stay but great nonetheless. We did the 17 mile drive on electric bikes rented from "Big Sur" so the hotel location for this was excellent. Very large and clean room. Grab and go breakfast box was an added bonus and nice touch. Free parking.

Clean hotel and accessible parking. Very quiet area and close to nice restaurants.

Check in wasn’t very friendly. The room was very rundown. The roof was peeling, the remote control was sticky, the refrigerator was as dirty. I didn’t check the microwave. The tub was dirty. The carpet had a mist spot. The linen appeared to be clean. That’s why I gave a two star. The room looked nice in the pictures, but was very rundown. People passed by knocking on the door all night. The furniture was rundown and old. I saw that the rates had gone up w down from when I reserved to when I stayed. Big diff.

Staff was great and the room was clean, but the bed and pillows were horribly uncomfortable.

Hotel is old and worn out and needs remodeling and updates .telephone jack is taped down instead of being bolted to wall .what a joke for a hotel .beds are very short for 6 foot tall person.

Good location. Small, tight car park. No lifts so was very difficult carrying 4 suitcases up several flights of stairs. Rooms were large but very small bathrooms. Each room has a balcony which was nice. The breakfast was disappointing, only served for 1 hour, you get a to go box which has a croissant and muffin with no condiments so very dry.

My husband (who did plumbing maintenance for rental properties) had a difficult time with the shower - it was scorching hot or cold - and getting a comfortable temperature seemed impossible. Otherwise we were satisfied with our stay here.

It is my personal experience, but place is amazing overall!

It was a beautiful (and more dated) cabin in the woods—smelled older, but well marinated and clean. It was a fun spot and close to the beach and town.

Good location for Monterey tourism activities. The lodge is dated with some room upgrades but overall average conditions inside. Beds were good and parking a bit tight. Not bad considering the price and location overall.

This hotel was extremely outdated with no A/C and the room stunk like mold. The staff was very friendly but the only other room they had and was going to move me was beyond hot and with no A/C I stayed in the smelly room. Over all staff was great but would not stay here again if the room was free

Pretty old property and not matching with the pictures on Expedia site. Kind of rundown but the one positive was the Hot water was nice and hot quickly. Always.

The staff was quite helpful when our arrival was delayed. We also enjoyed the breakfast boxes and coffee in the morning. Overall, a great stay.

The staff at the Olympia Lodge during check-in and out were very nice. This hotel is not across from the beach as pictures led you to believe. Our room was upstairs about 20 steps not easy to do with large luggage. We quickly realized there was no ac as everyone had their front doors open. We found a fan in the room that we ran and left the balcony slider open all night to let in some air. The rooms need to be upgraded. There is onsite parking but not enough for all the guests so you may have to find street parking. The surrounding area looked safe. A plus was that this hotel was close to a cute town when driving. They offered a boxed breakfast upon check out that was great!

Very basic, but clean. Hard bed and the coffee in the lobby was some of the weakest coffee I’ve ever had. We got it for like $130 a night because it was a Thurs. If I was paying $200+ on a weekend I’d feel ripped off… The staff was great. I think we’d stay there again, but we’d make sure to lower our expectations and bring instant coffee.

Simple, Clean, Quiet. Worth every penny.
