Sunset Inn

Everything about the room was wonderful. The only thing I had a problem with was the coffee and the continental breakfast. The space to gather the continental breakfast and the coffee is very small and when there are more than two people there it can get very crowded. Next the coffee itself, even though it had many different options was actually not very good and even though they had a Keurig in the room, which was actually nice. The sugar and cream was powdered cream and one packet of sugar in a cellophane container. My suggestion is that at least for the coffees in the rooms, since you have a Keurig, it would not cost that much more to get the little half-and-half or even the non-dairy creamers that you can pour into your coffee and packets of different types of sugar as far as the continental breakfast. It wasn’t very good so actually, I would pass on that and don’t book if you’re looking for a good continental breakfast. You should book this establishment for the wonderful staff and the excellent rooms and other amenities that make it a very special place side. We were upgraded to a much better cabin and we were given cheese, crackers and orange slices with a bottle of red wine. I think that was extremely special and not worthy of this place. We really enjoyed it despite not having any of the continental breakfast.

No rooms available upon arrival due to water and electrical issues. Was given a sister hotel, which was a lower rated hotel. With no remote., The restroom was not well maintained in terms of equipment. The communication was not given in an appropriate time to make other plans.

Such a warm welcome from Rishi - the proprietor! He literally said, "this is your home for the next few days." We stayed in the front room over the office. A spacious room with a superior bathroom & windows on three walls. We watched the sunset lounging in bed! And an 8 minute walk to the beautiful crashing waves & tide pools. Highly recommend!

Excellent place to stay nice and clean , friendly staff , to see sunset is walkable distance of 5min and beach is near too , recommended for family and friends

This was a perfect stay

We stayed here for two nights and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had two rooms abd they were very clean. Nice size frig and a big shower. Plenty of parking. Loved the little benches and chairs in front of our rooms. Very close to the ocean, easily walk there in less then 10 minutes. We would definitely stay here again.

Well, we were told the room we booked was out of order when we arrived. The hotel staff sent us to a carppy motel, literally the windows are rotten, 15 minutes away. It is unbearable so we cancelled the booking and requested refund.

No breakfast here, very friendly staff and easy parking.

This is a lovely little spot. The staff is so friendly and attentive. It’s quiet and the rooms are comfortable. No AC but there are ceiling fans. There is free parking which nice. It’s easy to get to Carmel or Monterey.

Location wise, it was convenient if you ignore the cemetery nearby. However, we felt misled by the reviews we saw, I expected something truly exceptional, but it was just average and worth less than what we paid. The breakfast was modest, and carbs heavy, there was no eggs. Every time someone nextdoor flushed their toilet you could hear it. And ther was insulation problem with the building, rooms always hot and humid despite the gorgeous weather outside and AC was not helpful.

This was the cutest little property. It was clean and well maintained with everything you needed in the room. The staff were extremely warm and welcoming. I wish I allotted more time for our stay there. Beautiful area, beautiful property!

The cottages at the Senset Inn are immaculate. There is convenient parking, albeit a bit tight getting in & out. The location is convenient to walk to the nearby tide pools & ocean. The owner/operator is very detailed & sensitive to making visits feel like a family experience.

Great location for many different food options and even decent doordash range for a lot of things as well. Room is nice and well maintained and very clean. Staff is very helpful and its a place I will return to in the future. Really close to the beach if you looking for walking distance to it.

Close to the beach, quiet

I love the coffee machine that includes lattes and cappuccino. They also have infused water available. The whole vibe there feels like you are in vacation. The jacuzzi bath is a must try. Will definitely come again.

Overall good experience.

Our first night we did not have a pleasant night. We could hear footsteps and sounds from the upper level. We called the front desk and they agreed to move us to another room the next day. The following day we were able to sleep and enjoyed the rest of our stay. They try to make their guest feel welcome and try to make things right.
