Sunset Inn

Great location, 5 mins walk to the beach and very helpful staff. Modern clean rooms, very clean.

I guess this is more from an environmental perspective but the only small downside is that there are no water bottles in the room or breakfast area so bring your own, even to make coffee in your room.

Our stay at Sunset Inn was amazing. We loved being able to rent e-bikes through the hotel. We loved being able to walk to the Asilomar coastal trail in the evenings. Our room was very clean and spacious. All the staff were very helpful and kind. We hope to return again.

This was a very nice and comfortable place to stay. The area is absolutely beautiful! We drove down 17 mile drive and saw the ocean at sunset and Pebble Beach Golf Club. The breakfast was in a very small part of the office and only had toast, fruit, yogurt, coffee and juices. There were 3-4 small tables to sit at. We would stay here again. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Owner amazing, room and privacy top notch. Such an easy stat and the price is right.

This motel was tucked away in a quiet area. The room was spacious and clean. The room was very basic. The staff was very friendly and helpful, however, the office was chaotic with cleaning supplies visible and very cluttered. Reaching staff before our stay was very difficult. It was a quiet stay for one night but a drive to any restaurants or shopping.

Awesome property close to beaches golf course lighthouse. Very quaint little bungalows definitely can use an upgrade on the TV entertainment system and the hot tub feature was nice, but the water wasn’t too hot and you need to be pretty limber to get into and out of.

It was a nice enough stay the room was small but it was close to town!

Solid place to stay!

The bed was pristine with very clean sheets. The room was so cute! I’m a single gal and it was perfect for me and I would definitely go back there again 100%. The proprietor or the gentleman running the check-in was named Rishi and he was extremely kind and friendly and sent over some orange slices and cheese for me maybe because it was my birthday. It was a wonderful place to stay! Bottom line if you don’t mind a small place in which case it truly had everything you could possibly need, you will love it. I loved it!!

Cute little place. Really clean room. Staff really nice. Great location. Walk to ocean, golfing, and lighthouse. Also close to cannery row, aquarium, downtown Monterey, Fishermans Wharf, and downtown Pacific Grove which has cute restaurants.

The room was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable after a long day of adventuring. The manager was very welcoming and had some snacks in the front for us. The room had a mild odor, and the bathroom had no hand soap, but other than that, the stay was very pleasant! I would return.

Everything about the room was wonderful. The only thing I had a problem with was the coffee and the continental breakfast. The space to gather the continental breakfast and the coffee is very small and when there are more than two people there it can get very crowded. Next the coffee itself, even though it had many different options was actually not very good and even though they had a Keurig in the room, which was actually nice. The sugar and cream was powdered cream and one packet of sugar in a cellophane container. My suggestion is that at least for the coffees in the rooms, since you have a Keurig, it would not cost that much more to get the little half-and-half or even the non-dairy creamers that you can pour into your coffee and packets of different types of sugar as far as the continental breakfast. It wasn’t very good so actually, I would pass on that and don’t book if you’re looking for a good continental breakfast. You should book this establishment for the wonderful staff and the excellent rooms and other amenities that make it a very special place side. We were upgraded to a much better cabin and we were given cheese, crackers and orange slices with a bottle of red wine. I think that was extremely special and not worthy of this place. We really enjoyed it despite not having any of the continental breakfast.

No rooms available upon arrival due to water and electrical issues. Was given a sister hotel, which was a lower rated hotel. With no remote., The restroom was not well maintained in terms of equipment. The communication was not given in an appropriate time to make other plans.

Such a warm welcome from Rishi - the proprietor! He literally said, "this is your home for the next few days." We stayed in the front room over the office. A spacious room with a superior bathroom & windows on three walls. We watched the sunset lounging in bed! And an 8 minute walk to the beautiful crashing waves & tide pools. Highly recommend!
