Sunset Inn

The location was fine. The staff was super. They found out we were getting married and they sent over a cheese cracker fruit plate. And flowers and WINE. Then internet service was nill unless you copied the QR code that was in the office. Not in the rooms.

Sunset Inn was immaculately clean. Everything in good order. The bath towels are nice and fluffy. All the expected amenities are in the room. The reception area offers more fancy drinks from a machine. The grounds are well kept. Staff is helpful. Easy in and out. Would definitely stay again.

We absolutely loved the sunset Inn, adorable little cottages, comfortable beds, and nice amenities. We walked across the street for sunset at the beach. Adorable little Downtown area very close by. Would definitely stay again.

Location, location, location close to everything in the Monterey area. It’s so close to such good hiking and many restaurants. Good communication and greeting. Breakfast left a little bit to be desired but as long as you’re prepared for it mentally it’s ok. Very basic. As the fireplace served as the heater in the room it took a little while to heat up but once it did, it was fine.

Nice peaceful, quiet area across the street from the beach, although you couldn't access the beach from the Inn. The room was nicely updated. The room and closet were very small, the refrigerator didn't have a freezer.

The staff were very nice. The room needed more ventilation. Even with the windows open it was stuffy. The bathroom didn’t have countertops space to put toiletries.

Everything was clean, the breakfast was disappointing. No place to sit, also just packaged breakfast items available.

Nice room, with a good feel. Staff at recepción extremely helpful, friendly and nice Just a bit off the center but nothing that could not be sorted with uber and car

Easy parking, great location. We walked to the water just a few minutes down the road for a wonderful sunset. A few hiccups in the room - we booked a king, we got two queens. There is no AC, so you have to open windows for a cross breeze, but if you have the windows open you have to have the blinds open meaning people can look in your window AND there’s a giant bright outside light outside each room that shines in. Overall though very clean and a good experience for what we needed. The cheapest decent option we could find on a late booking Labor Day weekend!

Very nice hosts. Room was clean but very small. What was advertised as a fireplace was really just an electric facsimile of one on the wall. Good enough for the money
