Pasadena Inn at Old Town

Instead of handling this through standard industrial laundering and bleaching (which easily removes such stains), management chose to treat this as malicious property damage and charged our credit card an incidental fee. When I contacted management to resolve this reasonably, they were completely unrepentant and refused to back down. Treating a guest this way for a basic bodily function is deeply embarrassing and unprofessional. If you value your privacy, safety, and fair treatment, do not stay here. They will look for any excuse to keep your deposit.

The beds in the rooms were very clean and very nice the staff was terrible they will not let patrons use the restroom in the lobby the swimming pool has been filled in the restaurant does not work and they do not serve breakfast as they advertise The staff no matter what booking.com gets us for a rate the staff turns around and adds $100 to it every single time calling it security and they say that it is fully refundable yet I've been here 5 weeks and they haven't refunded any of it the staff is rude the parking lot is cut off you can't hardly get vehicles in and out they charge $100 over what you're booking rate is and call it security they say that it's fully refundable I've been here 5 weeks now they have not returned one single security then my booking ran out so I extended by a week and when I checked my credit card statement they charged me over $800 this hotel is very very crooked and very conniving and will gouge you every chance they get I got a good mind to get a hold of an attorney and then turn around and put them on the news

Beautiful location, clean, comfortable affordable rooms. Bed was huge, and genuinely the most comfortable of any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I will definitely be back!

They're in the middle of renovations so the room had a funky smell.

The room was clean and spacious. They have plenty of parking. There is dining and a Whole Foods close by. It was exactly what o needed. A clean, affordable, and comfortable room.

The price was a very good value and the location was excellent. They needed to pay a little more attention to details. We had to ask for hand soap and there were no drinking glasses provided. When we were there parts of the property were being remodeled. We would definitely book there again.

The air conditioner worked and the room was fairly clean. Location in old Town Pasadena is very nice with plenty of nearby restaurants and quiet neighborhoods. On two previous "stays" at the Pasadena Inn we were able to take advantage of a complimentary breakfast. Not this time. We had to ask for a second towel and wash cloth and, believe it or not, toilet paper. Apparently, the place is being renovated so early morning noise from work crews invaded our privacy. But, the most egregious aspect of this "stay" was that we were laden with a $100 "refundable" damage deposit for the rooms and we incurred no damage whatsoever. At the time of check-out no inference was made that we would NOT receive our refundable damage deposit. Upon return home while examining the room charges we found a $40 charge for "chair damage". As stated, we didn't cause any damage and left the room in immaculate condition. I called the front desk at the Pasadena Inn and asked to have a photo of the damage emailed to me and, of course, no damage photo was ever received. While $40 "extra" charge isn't overwhelming, it is the principle of the incident that is in question. This behavior on the part of the management is nothing less than fraud.

The front desk was nice. The Rooms smell of paint and plaster, most rooms are under construction. I was not warned that I would be awaken at 7am to loud hammers and drilling from the room next door. I left the place as soon As possible.

A repair to the lighting in my room was made upon request. No ice machines. Not even a plastic cup or glass for water in the room. No light over the bathroom vanity when I arrived. The A/C took a long time to kick in. And worst, I didn't feel secure. The window overlooking the walkway to all the rooms and the parking lot had a shade that wouldn't go all the way down.

Places under CONSTRUCTION, which is understandable, but definitely needs to take care of all the water leaks from the rain, luckily the room was OK and it was clean. Bad tub. Definitely needs to be changed out. Staff is very helpful and very attentive .

I would like to place on record that on Saturday afternoon, we were asleep in our room when the door suddenly unlocked and was opened by a staff member by mistake. This gave us quite a scare at the time.
