Room felt a bit outdated; needs some renovations, but it was still clean

great location! room was pretty clean but the sheets had a couple of stains. good cable TV. bathroom needs work though.... toilet was running - My husband had to open up the tank and make it stop each time we flushed. he finally fixed the handle. we will stay here again because the price was good. we will just ask for a different room - maybe we had a dud. Thank you!

Our room was never serviced as requested, nor was the bathroom sink ever fixed after multiple request to the front desk and maintenance. Our hotel room phone did not work because it had a broken microphone. Anytime we needed to get a hold of the staff we had to head to the front desk ourselves. They didn't seem to care about any of our request, and I will not return to this property again in the future. We had purchased three nights stay at this property.

I miss free breakfast but overall great place

Blinding lights right outside the window blasted through the minimal curtains preventing me from sleep. Staff didn't care, had to cover the window with garbage bags to make it dark enough to sleep.

Staff were very friendly. The property and room were nice

Really nice and accommodating staff. Safe neighborhood and walking distance to Colorado Blvd district for restaurants and shopping. Missing towels and otherwise semi clean room, no weatherstripping around door and no way to raise or lower the window shade. Oh and did I mention the frequent police helicopters overhead at night? Irritating on-site construction, someone has noisy pet birds and other guests that have no common courtesy and slam doors loudly at all hours of the night and early morning. That’s the clientele at this place. We’re talking motel 6 or less. But conveniently close to the Rose Bowl flea market so gotta take the good with the bad.

Unfortunately, this was not a particularly good experience. The pool is being actively renovated, which also means half the parking above ground is blocked. The room was quite dirty — hard floors, but I had brown feet after walking barefoot for a few minutes. The shower was visibly quite dirty (brown tub, with several large chips in the surface), and the grouting was molding; if it was an apartment shower, you would not be getting your deposit back. No shampoo in the room. Hand soap only in the shower (none at the sink — only lotion at the sink). The sink area wasn't properly cleaned. The only trash bin was in the shower room (nothing by the desk or by the microwave and fridge). The bed was not particularly comfortable. The refrigerator was set so cold that it froze drinks overnight. The curtains were visibly dirty and partially torn. The AC worked (it was very loud, but it worked). On the up side, it is walkable to Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and a few restaurants. I definitely would not recommend the property until it is significantly renovated.

The room was filthy. There was sawdust and drywall dust all over the bed frame, floors, and walls. To make matters worse, the towels in the room were dirty. After requesting fresh towels, we were given replacements that were somehow even dirtier. We asked multiple times for the room to be properly cleaned, but the staff failed to address the issue each time. The lack of cleanliness and attention to guest concerns was completely unacceptable. I contacted management several times after my stay seeking a refund or some form of compensation, but received nothing. The owners and managers of this hotel should be ashamed of how this property is being operated. I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

Ew! Bed was stained all over, towels were incredibly dingy, there was construction in the courtyard at 6am, and there is NO BREAKFAST. They should really work on advertising accurately and their staff needs to take complaints seriously. Whoever was at the desk this morning could not be bothered.

The location is good - easy to get in and out and there's 2 levels of parking. The property has a laundry room. But the room is very dirty and each load costs $3.25 (as of June 2026). Also, you have to download an app to use the laundry machine - a huge downside and annoyance. Much prefer paying cash or loading a card with EXACT amount I need, not the rounded-up amounts in the app that guarantee that some funds will be left on the account unused. Endemic problems - Been in 2 rooms and they both have an AWFUL and highly unpleasant smell to them. The rooms smell like a mix of wet cement and construction adhesive. You CANNOT GET RID OF THE SMELL - it's just there. No amount of AC or ventilation can address this smell problem - it's just a horrible smell that you have to endure the entire length of your stay. The room we were in did not have a working shower fan exhaust and it did not have a visible return-air duct, so the air circulation got progressively worse as you moved further away from the AC unit under the window. Speaking of the AC unit - what a loud and obnoxious thing. You need it to be ON to try to address the smell in the room, but it's old and loud and hard to sleep next to. The bathroom sink has a clog somewhere in the pipe and take forever to drain. The bedside lights are DIRTY. RELEVANT IN 2026: The temporary headache that made the stay UNBEARABLE - the construction! They are demolishing the pool in the parking lot with jack hammers and they start hammering at 6:30 in the morning! YOU CANNOT ESCAPE THIS CONSTRUCTION NOISE! From 6:30 in the morning until they finish in late afternoon, this is NOT a hotel - this is an active construction zone with a lodging side-hustle. As of June 2026, the new owners of this hotel are actively trying to renovate the property - this part is understandable and commendable. The hotel in its current form is very run down - the carpets are old, the laundry room is dirty, the rooms have an awful smell to them, and each AC unit sounds like a 1950s tractor. About 1/3 to 1/2 of the hotel rooms are being renovated at the same time. But this is NOT stated anywhere beforehand! I did not sign up to PAY to be at a construction zone with jack hammers at 6:30 in the morning. The only upside here is that they are gutting the rooms and redoing everything from scratch - perhaps in June of 2027 they will be in a much better state.
