Pasadena Inn at Old Town

Staff at front desk was polite and very enjoyable to talk to. They were very caring and pleasant to talk to; but whomever was supposed to take care of stuff happening in the rooms, if they came and did what was requested it didn't work as the problem in the room kept getting worse. If I had the means I would have canceled my reservation and go somewhere else. But it is what it is.

The attitude from the moment I raised my concerns was absolutely appalling. No matter how “cheap” you might be compared to your competitors, that does not give you an excuse to treat paying guests with such little respect. Because of the manager’s utterly poor attitude alone, I would not recommend this place to anyone. There is supposedly “ongoing construction”, but nobody seems to think it’s important to mention that this includes pneumatic drilling at 7am. Waking guests up to the sound of construction machinery first thing in the morning is completely unacceptable, particularly when you’re meant to be providing somewhere for people to actually sleep and relax. Then there was the ridiculous insistence that I MUST have the Expedia app. I don’t have it, nor should I be required to have an app simply to stay at a hotel. When I questioned this, the response was anything but helpful. And to top it all off, being asked by the manager whether I was actually capable of reading was unbelievably rude and completely unacceptable. That is not how you speak to a paying guest, regardless of how frustrated you might be. I have stayed in plenty of hotels and dealt with plenty of managers, but the combination of the noise, the lack of consideration and, most importantly, the manager’s disgraceful attitude made this an absolutely awful experience

The room well cleaned and air conditioned, nice easy place close around for anything.

Cheap, ok location Poorly organized front desk. Noisy renovations start at 7am. No coffee or tea making facilities in the room.

I would definitely stay here again. The staff is top notch! The rooms are updated with all the needed amenities. Excellent location as I was able to walk to Old Town Pasadena, restaurants and stores. Very quiet and private rooms. The Los Angeles Metro station is 5-minute walk from the hotel and excellent public transportation. Very safe neighborhood and the staff is always walking around the property to make sure all is well. Great choice in a hotel.

When I booked it , I didn’t know it was under construction and I didn’t know the pool was taken out, NO POOL … still shows pool on site ….. I received a notice about NO POOL & UNDER CONSTRUCTION two days AFTER I BOOKED …

MIT went above and beyond for the short lovely time I had. My bicycle is my primary vehicle and MIT kindly locked it safely and gave me full assurance and peace of mind throughout my stay. Wonderful staff. Thank you. Construction

Very convenient location close to the metro station and front desk staff was very friendly.

Exceptional

Nice staff, room was clean and was a good price for the last minute trip we took. Only downside is our room had no toilet paper at all, great location though!

The property was under construction, but in a great spot and they are trying to do the right things with the place! I’d stay here again. (We stayed 2 nights)

Awful 😖

This is an older property undergoing a lot of remodeling. The pool was removed and just a dirt pile, and the rooms are obviously in need of some upkeep. There was no hair dryer in our room, which I haven't seen in a hotel in some time. That said, the staff was very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and orderly and had everything else we needed, and the location is what you want if you plan to visit old town. Everything was within walking distance, and the management is actively working to improve the property.

Would be nicer with a gym & pool or aquascape pond

Great location. Staff were responsive. A high step to enter room. Ongoing construction, including early morning. Low water pressure at sink.

The water was shut off briefly when we arrived (front desk did not let us know). Also, we did not have any handsoap or tissues. The room smelled really strongly of paint.
