The hotel is beautiful and close to Salem. It is located at a fairly busy intersection, so road noise was noticeable; however, our sleep was not affected at all. Cute little area near the room for complimentary coffee, juices, water, and snacks.

A nice place to stay affordable option in comparison to downtown Salem!! Some little cons: there is a nice breakfast but nothing to heat up oatmeal in, only an elevator to the second floor, the AC is wasn’t working that well in our room and the TV didn’t connect to the internet not a huge deal!

But the best was the restaurant tucked away in the basement! THE BEST clam chowder and popover that I e ever had! I highly recommend this hotel when visiting the area.

Incredible mix of gorgeous old charm and modern luxury.

Amazing property. We stayed in the Luxury room (202) and were surprised that the photos did not even do it justice. It was a spacious room, well maintained property with free parking and great amenities.

These missteps detracted from what could have been a comfortable stay. With more attention to guest comfort, this little inn could be wonderful.

This is hidden gem. Really cool inn with a historical feel but modern ammenities. Highly recommend.

Booked thru Expedia earlier in the day. Upon arrival at 4pm found the place locked up and no humans anywhere. Phone number on door was called without an answer. Phone number on website called without an answer or call back. Emailed never got a response. A cleaning company did arrive shortly after 4pm and a team of cleaners entered the establishment. Ended up having to book a nearby hotel (also thru Expedia) instead. Tried to reach Expedia for assistance which was pointless as not certain any humans actually work their either. At some point a phone number for Expedia found on internet was called and it ended up being scammers trying to charge my credit card a cancellation fee of $119... What A Joke!!!

One small suggestion: There was not a single hook in the bathroom to hang towels - an easy fix. Otherwise, top notch, no complaints, charming and attractive accommodations!

Awesome place to stay!!

The room was extremely dirty with no toilet paper and no towels. There was no cable tv. There were dirty dishes in the strainer and in the dishwasher. The sponge was moldy. The room overlooked junk and neighbors that had stuff everywhere. The entrance to the place was near the garbage. Not a good experience!

Gorgeous room with everything you could need. Could not fault anything and the staff were lovely. We loved everything about this accommodation.

There`s so much potential for this to be a really lovely stay but a number of things hold me back from giving a higher rating. My room had no regular size towels and due to the staff only being on site from 4-9 PM, no quick response way to get help. The handheld shower wand was broken; as in literally broken in two with the head of the wand on the floor. When I pulled the cover down to get in bed it took the flat sheet with it, revealing a mattress cover with several small blood stains. No fitted sheet over it. That mattress cover should be replaced and I can't believe someone was ok with not only keeping it on but also with not even putting on a fitted sheet or at least a firmly tucked in flat sheet. The amenities in common area - there was free yogurt or cereal but no spoons. And the milk was curdling. The next day when spoons were finally replaced, there was no milk. Not being able to reach staff for timely replies should be expected. Even if you call during the 4 to 9 window, no one will answer the phone at neither the tavern nor the front desk. So much opportunity to make minor improvements that could really make a difference. Especially in room 303, the gold suite, as it has lots of charm to it.
