The room was clean but small. No coffee maker and coffee was not available until 7 am. The room also smelled the entire time of cooking. Like meat and seasonings. Too strong at most points. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly. Just need to do something to vent kitchen odor. Had dinner upstairs too. The salsa was not good and the chicken wings had a strange texture and flavor. Ended up just eating the chips and nothing else.

Staff were great. really helpful and friendly. Is a great location. Food was so good There wasnt anything I didnt like to be honest. The rooftop was closed so would have been nice to have been able to go up there. but that would be the only thing if I had to say something

Location was amazing. Was deffinitly accessible to car in Church Street parking lot. Convenient to CVS for snacks or anything we would need. Price for room service breakfast was cheaper then I predicted. Great food. Staff were very friendly. Micro king - bedroom had a hall with wasted space. Bed is on a frame so we kept busting our shins on the bed. Bathroom has sliding door and there is a gap. Stayed with my daughter. That made it a bit awkward for a teenager.

What a great place to stay! Airy, right in the center of town, and incredibly thoughtful and helpful staff. We loved it.

We love staying at The Hotel Salem right in the heart of Essex Street. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Our room was comfy with a high ceiling and awonderful view of the adjacent rooftops. The food is great at Salem's only rooftop bar, appropriately dubbed The Roof, with stunning views. The only drawback is that parking is not right on site because you are in a historic part of town.
