Loved our stay at the Salem Inn. The room was wonderful and loved the overall character of the house. It was the little details that impressed me too - bottle filler & ice maker downstairs, texts with check in details, book trade bookcase, etc

Location

The location couldn’t have been better. Everything we wanted to explore in downtown Salem was within easy walking distance, which made our trip so convenient and enjoyable. The hotel also offered free parking, which was a huge bonus and allowed us to fully enjoy the area without worrying about our car. One of the highlights of our stay was the private breakfast, which felt thoughtful and relaxing. We also loved spending time in the cozy living room, where we played card games and learned more about the history of the building. It really made the experience feel personal and memorable. Overall, this hotel offers a unique and comfortable stay with plenty of character. We would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Salem!

The ambience of the inn was peaceful and unique. We loved and appreciated the freshly made breakfasts every morning; eating in the outdoor patio ensured each morning started with a sense of calm serenity. The room was clean, spacious and charming. Staff was equally friendly and helpful. 10/10 would definitely book again :)

The Salem Inn is such a cute place to stay. We were in a family suite which had a small kitchen, a queen bed and a trundle with two twins. Their daily free breakfast is above and beyond most hotel breakfasts. You get to select your breakfast time the night before and choose from quiche, an omelet, waffle, oatmeal, yogurt, English muffins or bagels. They cook your food to order and bring it to your table. The Inn is only a 2 blocks from the main road in downtown.

When I got to the inn there was steps to enter the building which was inconvenience with luggage. Then I had to climb 18 steps to my room, they dumbwaiter to put luggage but it was preoccupied. There was no one to assist. The bed in room 16 where I stood creaked every time I moved and the trundle kept rolling it did not lock. The breakfast choices were limited. The bathroom and kitchen was renovated very nice. The rug was so dirty I had to roll it up and put into the wall in closet. I would not stay in this inn again.

No parking lot in back of hotel. You have to either park on the street or down the block at another location.

We absolutely loved staying here. The room was super cute and a great balance of modern and traditional. It is a fantastic location. We definitely want to stay here again.

Very pleasant period building, with modern amenities. Had a great stay.

I LOVED the Salem Inn. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was such an amazing addition and the staff were friendly and helpful. The witches brew coffee was a fun way to start a day in Salem. I stayed in the Curwen House and it had a sherry nightcap available every evening - which was such a cute and fun touch. The location is perfect because it is right downtown, without being on top of the action - so you can walk 5 minutes but still have your quiet room at night. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

Breakfast was by reservation. You picked a time and picked from a list of options. Very easy to use online. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We did have a small issue with parking as there are several homes with parking in the rear. We went to the main house and the staff was able to direct us to where we needed to be. Within walking distance of many things Salem had to offer. Very happy with this property highly recommend.

This is a charming inn with two different old houses. It’s well located and has a fabulous breakfast that’s included. Two things I would say for house we were in. One, there is no indoor sitting area. Our room, while quite large, had only a small love seat and the common area was not decorated to accommodate sitting. So having indoor drinks before dinner wasn’t really a good option. There is a very nice patio for outdoor relaxing. The bigger issue was the ice maker. It is LOUD and it went off at irregular intervals during two of our three nights. Apparently it is supposed to be turned off at night but it wasn’t. It was impossible to sleep through. Otherwise, we had good service and a nice stay
