Candlewood Suites Pearl by IHG

This is an older facility, but it is well maintained. Lenak was at the desk when I checked in and was so pleasant and helpful. It was a quiet hotel overall, and no problem with noise when sleeping. The gentleman who was cleaning the next room was so helpful when I hurt my back trying to load the luggage cart. What a blessing. This hotel is also in a nice, hilly and treed spot.

Hotels.com lists the pet fee as $25 per occurrence per stay. This is FALSE! It is $50 per pet! Do not stay here if you plan on bringing pets.

Everything about this place is outstanding in most of all vere home like feeling . Am not going anywhere else

The suites are very spacious and clean. Perfect little couples get away. Close to everything but tucked away if you don’t want to be seen.

The telephone did not work. the tv had one channel, nats wew flying out of all of the drains, housekeeping gave us raid to spray. the staff was friendly, the room was clean, with the exception of the nats.

I don’t eat the breakfast but it looked like your typical fair. Coffee was good. It was quiet which is a big draw for me!

Excellent hotel. It’s conveniently located by two stores to grab some items if need be. The lending closet has extra appliances if you need them. Staff is friendly and very accommodating. If you’re traveling with someone that is disabled the rooms come in a queen. Not much difference spec wise but just a fyi.

The staff at the front was very kind and welcoming when I arrived. The front office and waiting area was clean and thought it was going to be a great stay. When I got to the room, there was a horrendous odor that was coming from the AC system. I was trying to cut the AC system off as a smell, made me very sick and gave me a horrible headache. After trying to lay in the bed for about an hour and a half between the smell that was lingering in the room and the mattress I unfortunately made the decision that I was going to lose money and got my bag, repacked and left to go find another hotel to stay at. Not sure if it was mold, mildew, or some other substance that was causing the smell, but it was unbearable.

Ac was loud and quit on me in the night, other than that and no breakfast the stay was fantastic

Room 103 which is for Handicapped people was not very clean. It was real dirty in bathroom. They did not clean walls so you can see where everyone touched. Kitchen area someone cooked something and it splattered all over the cabinets and it was not cleaned up. Fridge handle had so much gunk on it. I wiped down everything except for the areas above I mentioned. I took pictures and showed the desk. Even though they were very apologetic I was mad because in was a handicap room and I know they wouldn’t be able to clean it. The bed was comfortable and clean.
