Holiday Inn Express Pensacola West - Navy Base by IHG

3 minutes from the Navy Base Contractors staying at the property making a lot of noise upstairs.

Staff was very helpful and welcoming.

Room had bedbugs. My 2 daughters were chewed up.We were treated rudely at first then the administrator chilled out and took care of us. Some money was refunded but I still do not feel satisfied. It ruined our vacation and we are now afraid of bedbugs.

I requested an accessible room, but upon check in was told there were none available! When we got to our room, the tub was low enough for me to hold on (there was a grab bar) and step over. The toilet was so low I had to struggle to get on and off it. The worst, however, was the bed. Aside from the fact that I am disabled, I am also only 5’3”. The bed was so high that my niece had to pick up my legs and put them on the bed for me because it was too high for me to get in myself. We called down to the front desk to request a stepstool or something to help me, and the guy at the desk said to my niece. “what do you want me to do about it“. That is absolutely unacceptable. He did not help us, did not offer to help and his only solution was if there was a handicap room available the next day, he would switch us. However, he did not bother to find out if there was or if we could be switched. I ended up turning over a garbage can, and with the assistance of my niece was able to get into the bed. I was exceptionally disappointed in the lack of professionalism and/or offer of any kind of assistance to an elderly handicapped woman. This is not what I have come to expect from IHG.

Centrally located and clean Property appears well lighted and clean

It was close to my destination and breakfast was nice. My babies were there. The pool service was not up to par, no towels, hot tub not working, closed way too early, and very small.

Worst Holiday Inn I have ever stayed at and Holiday Inn is normally my go to. I think that Holiday Inn has become the new Mcdonalds of hotels. Staff was rude, carpet had probably never been shampooed, towels were the tiniest cheapest ones they could find, pool was always dirty. The gym was just a pool house they put a treadmill in and called it a gym. This hotel is only meant for passing through on business. Not for families.

The site was clean and beautiful. The breakfast could've used a little bit more variety like hot oatmeal and switching the proteins more.o

Stay was great and room was super nice!

Breakfast was very good each day we stayed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The carpet in room 101 where we stayed was a little soiled and worn. Need to be replaced!

I was really impressed by the breakfast. The hot tub and pool were really nice. It was easy travel to get to the beach and downtown.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast menu variety exceeded our expectations, but the hot food was lukewarm at best. Our room keys stopped working the morning we checked out. The ventilation fan in the bathroom did not work and the room was extremely humid in general; the things I hung in the closet literally felt damp the next morning. I was raised in Florida so I understand humidity, and that should not happen. The thermostat on the wall did not control the air conditioner, which doesn't make much sense. Took me several minutes to figure out that I still had to control the temperature directly on the unit. Despite these minor challenges, we would stay here again if we were in the area.

I loved the location for visiting my son at Pensacola NAS. The West gate is an 8 minute drive, despite what Google maps said. ? Anything you need is within a 10 minute or less drive. The property is clean and will managed the ladies at the front desk were wonderful. There was no coffee in the room other than that it was great. The air conditioner in our room worked but it was very very damp the whole time we were there. When we would return to the room it had a wet smell.
