Great experience.

Parking garage was gross and separate from the hotel, which was annoying in itself. Not secure feeling. Not a safe feeling place to drop someone off to check in. Not very clean. Especially the pull out couch, although the mattress seemed ok, I didn’t want my son touching the actual couch part. There was no cart to take luggage downstairs. The area is well traveled, but there are shady characters, homeless, and urine smells. The first services lady was a delight though!

Crabtree and Evelyn branded toiletries smelled amazing and got us looking for the brand now. Our check in was smooth and front desk clerk was friendly. Check out with requesting a luggage hold was a bit of a salty ending but we figured it out. Reading terminal market is amazing for anyone that hasn't experienced a food hall. The recommended places are worth the experience (Beiler donuts, Miller twist, Bassett's ice cream) and you have one of the bigger stops from the airport. Lobby entrance is off 11th so you do have to walk through a questionable avenue if you aren't able to cut through the market.

The front desk staff also seemed unprofessional. At check-in, I was told to go to the 10th floor, but my room was actually on the 8th floor, which caused unnecessary confusion. To make matters worse, the first-floor restroom was out of service. Overall, the experience fell well below what I expected and unfortunately made the hotel feel poorly managed.

Clean room great location will stay again

Hotel is centrally located in Philly so as to easily access the many activities. Staff was friendly and very accommodating
-
great location if you want to experience center city area. hotel rooms could use better lighting but otherwise a good place.

It’s a no for me. Very unclean and there’s no parking and the garage next to it is overpriced

Terrific location. Very clean room and hotel. Other than the couch in the lobby has seen better days. There were homeless on the streets outside, but that was everywhere. And they do lock the doors at 10 and you have to use your roomkey to enter and to use the elevator. I felt safe. You do pay for parking as well as breakfast. But there are other parking options nearby as well and the Reading Market is right next door and has tons of food options. I would stay here again for sure

This hotel is in a good location to easily walk to Independence Hall and the historic downtown. The restaurant on top has great views. The staff is not as friendly as they could be. Parking is easy. The elevators need some love. However, the beds were comfortable and roomy. I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.

Well positioned…right next Reading Market

Dear Hilton Garden Inn Philadelphia Center City Management, My name is xxx and I stayed at your hotel with my son. and wife from [check-in date] to [check-out date] in room [your room number, if known]. We specifically chose your hotel because multiple online listings and descriptions advertised an indoor pool. My son and I packed swimwear specifically for this amenity. On the day we arrived, we went straight to the fitness center to check out the pool. The cleaners in the gym informed us that there is no pool. We then spoke with staff at the front desk, who confirmed there is no pool available. This was disappointing, as the pool was a key reason for our booking. We were not informed of this prior to arrival. In light of this misrepresentation, I am respectfully requesting a partial refund of [suggest an amount, e.g., 20-25% of the total stay, or $X] as compensation for the missing advertised amenity. We greatly enjoyed other aspects of our stay, but this was a significant letdown, especially for a father-son trip. I have attached screenshots of the hotel listings that showed a pool for your reference. I would appreciate it if we could resolve this quickly and fairly before checkout or shortly thereafter. Thank you for your understanding and assistance. I look forward to your prompt response.

I am extremely disappointed with Hilton Garden Inn Philadelphia Center City and how my cancellation request was handled during an emergency. The cancellation language I was provided stated: “We understand that sometimes plans fall through. We do not charge a cancel or change fee. When the property charges such fees in accordance with its own policies, the cost will be passed on to you.” Despite this language, Hilton Garden Inn Philadelphia Center City denied my request and kept $929.62 for a stay I was unable to use due to circumstances outside of my control. What makes this worse is that no one from Hilton reached out to offer any reasonable alternative. I was not offered the option to use the three nights at a later date, receive a credit, modify the reservation, or work toward any practical solution. Hilton simply denied the refund and offered nothing else. I understand that hotels have policies, but policies should be applied fairly and with basic customer consideration, especially during an emergency. In this case, I lost $929.62 and received no service in return. The response felt rigid, dismissive, and completely unwilling to consider the circumstances. This experience seriously damaged my trust int he Hilton brand. I expected better from a major Billion dollar hotel brand than a summary denial, no flexibility, and no meaningful attempt to help a customer during an emergency.

I would like hotels including this one to note the occupancy booked, we are always short towels and linens for the extra bed/pull outs, instead of calling and going to the lobby to pick them up myself.

The room was very clean and tidy. I especially loved how the tv displayed my name saying welcome. That was so cute and the highlight for me. The bed was comfortable and I slept well.
