I stopped in with my fiancée for a drink, and from the moment we interacted with the bartender, he was condescending, dismissive, and unnecessarily rude. What crossed the line was hearing him make remarks about my accent to another customer. When I expressed that I found his comments offensive, he doubled down and told me that I "shouldn't be offended." No customer should be mocked or made to feel uncomfortable because of the way they speak. Instead of showing basic respect, the bartender chose to belittle and embarrass me. The experience became so unpleasant that my fiancée and I decided to leave. We had already paid for her drink, but she was so disappointed and uncomfortable with the situation that she didn't even drink it. We came in expecting a relaxing evening and left feeling disrespected. There are plenty of places that know how to treat customers with dignity and professionalism. Unfortunately, this is not one of them.

I was there 3 days and the cleaning staff never made it to my room until after 3 in the afternoon, after I had returned from being gone the entire day. Finally had to request someone to bring fresh towels and empty the trash. One restaurant for a hotel of this size is hardly ideal and the valet charge of $60 per day is not appropriate based on the lack of service the valet provided. Location is good, but I would probably not stay at this Marriott again!

Location!

Shower was not working. We called reception twice, they were supposed to send someone and no one never showed up. At that price I expect to be able to take a shower after a long day exploring the city in 104F. Also, how did they clean the bathtub and not realized that the shower wasn’t working. Makes you wonder how well the staff actually clean the room… very disappointing.

Except for one staff who checke dus in most of the epxerience was subpar, staff was shot and rude on asking basic things, on not one but multiple occasions. Otherwise its a very good hotel with good location and amenities.

The AC was off at time of checkin. Be sure to turn it on as soon as you check in, so it cools down by evening.

I love the staff. They were all so kind and helpful with all my questions. They went out of their way being helpful with all of my questions.

We were there for World Cup and the hotel was the perfect spot and accommodating around our check out plans.

I arrived at the Downtown Philadelphia Marriott on Saturday Afternoon June 27th. I waited in line for 30 minutes to speak with someone at the registration counter. I was assured by the clerk that I had a reservation and the hotel had already received payment for the room. There was no room currently available. I would receive a phone call when my room was ready. Later that afternoon I did receive a voicemail message stating only that my room was available. That evening I returned to the hotel and after waiting 30 minutes in line I checked in with a second clerk who gave me keys and directions to the room. There was no mention of additional charges at this time. I went to the room left my luggage and went out for the evening. When I returned to the hotel shortly after midnight that night my room keys no longer worked. I went back to the registration desk. After waiting in line for 15 minutes I was told I had not paid a security deposit so my keys had been deactivated. There was no mention of a security deposit during my 3 previous communications with Marriott that day. I was not given any compensation for the inconvenience.

The hotel and staff were amazing. We are looking forward to staying again soon.
