Great central location. Really helpful staff. Good sized room. Had its own character and charm rather than feeling like a chain.
-
The location was ideal. The bathroom was cramped. The toilet was too low to the floor. There needs to be a fridge in the room. Since downtown Philadelphia is full of places to eat, there was no place to keep any left overs or snacks. Also, there was no place to get late night snacks in the hotel.
-
Location, it was close to everything. You can visit most city attractions walking from the hotel. Staff. In breakfast they were very rude. Also breakfast options are very poor.
-
The Notary is a beautiful hotel. I just wish you didn't have to pay for the expensive amenity fee when not using them.

Also, I booked and was confirmed for 2 Queen beds. Upon check-in (after 4pm) we were given room key and sent on our way. When we got to the room, we found it to be 2 Full beds. And a lamp bulb cover was broken. Reported these 2 items to the front desk, and they seemed wholly uninterested in this feedback. Only explanation for room type was that “well, that must’ve been all we had when you checked in”. I explained, no one told us that at check-in, there was no response and no solutions offered. We were already there in the room and late for an activity, so just had to accept. Disappointed in this lack of service for Bonvoy members.

Excellent stay would highly recommend it! The room had a wonderful view and comfortable bed. The history of the hotel was evident everywhere and I enjoyed it.
-
Location There were very few amenities for a "5 Star" hotel. The bedsheets were not ironed. There was no bath robe and no slippers. In my experience these are standard in a 5 Star hotel.

everything was very good nothing
-
Shower has good pressure Bed Comfy Staff unfriendly! Not willing to help! Decor is unbelievably depressing! Our room was super small that was supposed to be a city view that faced another building so much so that we had to dress with curtains closed

clean and friendly great location
-
The vouchers for free house wine. $ Rideshare coupon per stay. The breakfast was delicious. The service was excellent. Excellent location with city hall train station across the street to get to the stadiums. Highly recommend! Walking distance to all. Reading market is one short block away, behind the hotel. There is also a ticketing/boarding stop on the hop on-hop off buses right there by the reading market too.

It’s was close to Redding Terminal and centrally located to all the major sites.
-
The bed sheets had a stale scent to them.

Unique, beautiful hotel.

It was great!

This is a beautiful hotel in the most convenient location downtown Philadelphia. The front desk staff were helpful and polite. I only wish there were a pool or rooftop space. I would stay again.
