Quality Inn Pierre - Fort Pierre

When I checked in, I got to my room and the door was broken. It would not close properly and I was not able to lock the room door. Also the toilet was not bolted down. The building smells bad and the carpets in the common areas were stained terribly. I was able to switch rooms, but the door on the replacement room didn’t close properly either, but at least I could lock it. This was not a nice place, it smelled bad, the room doors were broken and the carpets were gross.

Kinda run down

Roof leak in hallway, dirty bathroom floor, dirty shower curtain, no bottled or tap water available with breakfast (was told I could buy a bottle).

Quiet, reasonably up-to-date, comfortable, good location. Will stay here again.

Staff were all really nice and friendly!! Everyone we came in contact with spoke to us. One staff member was starting to put away the breakfast items but left them out until we were done eating even though it was past serving hours. She visited with us all throughout breakfast!! Had a great conversation!! Bottom of the tub was very slippery especially for a handicap room!!

Price a little high

Room entrance door stuck tight. Bathroom door would not close. No ice. Desk clerk told us they were in a dispute with their cable company so no TV. Lobby and breakfast area looked ok but hallways and room looked tired and worn out and in need of upgrading.

Hotel is definitely old and you can tell they've been doing lots of renovations. Still needs some work. Toilet never stopped running and doors were very sticky to open and close. Hotel and rooms were clean and comfortable. Close proximity to everything near by. Breakfast was great and variety was wide. Would definitely stay here again.

Most everything

The units are being remodeled, so don’t be fooled by the pictures online. The doors to the rooms on our floor were a disaster. At some point the lock assembly was updated, and instead of replacing the entire door and assembly at the same time, the original assembly was cut out and the new assembly retrofit to the door. Every time someone on our floor entered or exited their room, the sounds made by the lock not fitting properly were horrible. The HVAC unit rattled every time it came on and was very loud. Breakfast was not good, I cancelled our reservation at the Super 8 due to bad reviews but I don’t think this was much better, honestly.

Nice staff, very helpful, nice check in and front desk service... Room is older, but very clean with no issues. Soap dispenser was missing in our room (without any bars of soap) so can't speak if that's the norm for other rooms.. (that they've gone to bar soap or it was only our room.) Otherwise an older, but well maintained and clean hotel. Worth the money and we would stay there again.

Excellent breakfast choices (eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, sausage, muffins, toast, bagels, waffles, juice, coffee, yogurt), clean pool, clean sheets and floors. The hotel seems to be in the midst of renovations, and the doors to our room and bathroom were tough to open and close. The staff was friendly and helpful.

It was a little crowded in the check-in area and for breakfast, but overall I was happy with the experience.

Hotel was older but looked well maintained . There were a few utility trucks parked outside which led me to believe that they are longer term clients. There is a second floor but no elevator. Check in was easy. Desk clerk was nice. Room was comfortable and clean. We appreciated the micro/fridge. There was a hot breakfast with scrambled eggs and sausage. Within walking distance to restaurants, old town district and park.

Good breakfast Had problems with door.

The bed was comfortable The Room was dirty. Film on the floors, dead bugs and hair in the shower and clean towel storage. The curtain blind has a huge tear. The shower hair care bottle was unattached from the wall fixture and laying on the tub, no garbage bags, missing fixtures and fixtures ripped off the wall. Pool had a disgusting scum, we didn't even try to use it and the breakfast foods and beverage cups were not filled, and the serving hot plates blinked error and one of them had a broken handle that you needed to use to open it. Very disappointed and not the quality we have experienced while staying at other Quality Inns

Owner is rude, doesn't handle situations in a professional manner, and caused a scene in front of my kids. Our room door was coming off the hinges, the carpets were stained, and the overall appearance of the hotel was dirty.

Not a very clean hotel. Hallways needed vacuuming and floor in my room had not been swept or cleaned and dirt was still on the floor. Lighting above the bathroom sink is very dim and tv remote wasn't working.

The doors to the room wouldn’t open very well, exhaust fan didn’t work in bathroom, hair in the sink, no vending machine
