Quality Inn Pierre - Fort Pierre

Excellent breakfast choices (eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, sausage, muffins, toast, bagels, waffles, juice, coffee, yogurt), clean pool, clean sheets and floors. The hotel seems to be in the midst of renovations, and the doors to our room and bathroom were tough to open and close. The staff was friendly and helpful.

It was a little crowded in the check-in area and for breakfast, but overall I was happy with the experience.

Hotel was older but looked well maintained . There were a few utility trucks parked outside which led me to believe that they are longer term clients. There is a second floor but no elevator. Check in was easy. Desk clerk was nice. Room was comfortable and clean. We appreciated the micro/fridge. There was a hot breakfast with scrambled eggs and sausage. Within walking distance to restaurants, old town district and park.

Owner is rude, doesn't handle situations in a professional manner, and caused a scene in front of my kids. Our room door was coming off the hinges, the carpets were stained, and the overall appearance of the hotel was dirty.

Not a very clean hotel. Hallways needed vacuuming and floor in my room had not been swept or cleaned and dirt was still on the floor. Lighting above the bathroom sink is very dim and tv remote wasn't working.

Need

Breakfast was better than expected. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The manager Kelli was the shining star of the experience, any issue I brought to her was addressed immediately. Room door was difficult to open, seemed like it was a little too big for the opening or wasn’t hung correctly. The chlorine smell from the pool permeated the entire first floor.

Dirty / damaged hall carpets

We were on first floor...there was a fridge..the shower was wonderful... The mattress was dirty or stained...the floors were clammy...parking was difficult....

Nothing. Staff is nice however. We were put in a room where AC does not work and there was panty and chips wrappers in the trash. The chair was extremely dirty with stains. We were able to get another room at least AC works but there was trash in the room. It was ckeaner than previous room but has definitely bad impression overall. We would never stay at Quality Inn. The pool also has foam on top . Not that we plan to use it. All seemed outdated. It is very awful place.

Rooms, very clean, bed, very comfortable. We were late getting down for breakfast and Kelly made sure we got juice and coffee and wanted to make us something for breakfast even though we were more than a half hour late. She made suggestions to us for food, very much appreciated, she was very friendly.

Not as good as last week. I called ahead and asked to be on the opposite side of the hotel as my last stay. When I arrived they checked me into a room right next to the one from last week. I asked to be moved and desk clerk said the system wouldn't let them move me. Not a huge deal since the AC was loud enough to drown out most of the noise. The cabinet with the fridge got the bed and wouldn't fully open, requiring you to bend over at an odd angle to get anything in and out. The TV in this room kept disconnecting from the Internet when I tried using my Netflix and Prime. Used the guest laundry and it left white marks on all my clothes from a previous guest (I used liquid, not powder). When I left, clerk didn't know how to do an early checkout.

Looks like hotel is in process of renovation. Doors stuck and many things just average.

Super comfy bed, good water pressure, friendly and knowledgeable staff

TV did not work.
