Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Pigeon Forge

I accidentally booked a handicap room and when I arrived and entered the room was designed for wheelchair accessible, which was great but not for me. I immediately returned to front desk to exchange room. I was told that they were booked up totally. I opened the website for this Hotel and there were many rooms available. There was not king rooms but I told the front desk clerk we would take any room and she told me she would couldn’t change rooms unless her manager approved and she would contact him. I waited for a while even after some others were checked in. I questioned how much longer and she asked if I booked through Expedia and I said yes. She then said that would make it more difficult to change. I have stayed at Pigeon Forge many time but this was worst experience. Don’t use this Hotel, they are not a caring facility.

The negatives were that the bed was firm and a little lumpy. The coffee was also pretty weak. The main negatives were entirely on Marriott Corporate. If you book through a third party, check in is more difficult, especially if they update their systems. We also couldn’t use the WiFi because of this. The staff were extremely helpful, so nothing against them, but I wouldn’t book a Marriott through a third party again (this isn’t the first time it’s happened) and it soured my opinion of Marriott properties.

Ours was only a one night stay. A convenient location with plenty of eating establishments nearby as well as the island a walkable distance. Only thing odd I found about the room was it it only had one chair at a desk and no comfortable reading chair in a king room. Did not eat the free breakfast but look like a good selection.

Check in and check out were quick, room was clean and the bed very comfortable.

The room was very clean and spacious. Staff was friendly. The place was very quiet. Bathroom fan didn't work well. Bed was a little too hard and low.

The lady at the front desk at night was not the most pleasant. Clearly only there for a paycheck. Wasn’t rude or anything but wasn’t too happy to be there. The entire facility seemed to be really clean. However, the sheets seemed to have a slightly odd smell. The room was very clean but sheets seemed questionable. Not a bad stay all but will likely pursue somewhere else next time.

Rooms were nice pool was amazing and staff was nothing short of amazing though.

Friendly staff but room had fleas.

Willow at the front desk is amazingly helpful and very knowledgeable. She has been able to move my room and recommended for my family the top floor so we could have a restful time. It was a great experience. The pool was very clean and beautiful area to relax. The food was great! The night person put her paperwork ahead of acknowledging that we were standing there several minutes

Hotel was super clean and the lobby smelled great!

Location Bathroom exhaust fan didn’t work,deadbolt lock wasn’t working properly .When we booked we were told no pets and upon arrival we saw multiple guests with dogs

Central location The breakfast was disappointing

Staff was very nice but during the stay we had no internet available which was offered several people had to leave because our trip was work related!! We were there for 3 days and it was truly an inconvenience!!

It was clean and the staff were awesome. There was not 20 floors like some, which was a plus. No complaints

Large room size and comfortable bed Pillows on bed were lacking. If they are that flat, please put more of them so they can be stacked.
