Grand Smokies Resort Lodge

We checked in around 5pm and on our way to the room we were told they shut the pool down until 8:30. Which wasn't true because it was closed all night because someone went #2 in the pool! So no apologies no offer for them to try to make it right. Our airconditioner didn't work and again, nothing was done. Their free breakfast is pathetic with biscuits gravy scrambled eggs and sausage patties. It wasn't worth eating. We used to love coming here but now we will not be back. Terrible experience and we've stayed here at least 7 times but never again. They used to give you vouchers for the wood fired buffet but they dont do that anymore and that is a real shame because that was the best part of the stay and the main reason we came. Until they change their policy on that we will not come back. We loved the slide on the pool but their are other hotels that have them too. We won't be back!

Super great value & very family friendly! Staff warm & welcoming. Overall property needs a good deep clean but rooms were clean & although you can see the age of the building, it’s kept up well. Soaking tub was amazing!

Worse hotel I've been too first room wasn't cleaned they had to change our room second room was cleaned but there was a roach inside the microwave where the time shows breakfast made me sick please find somewhere else to stay

The room looked clean enough, but I should have done a thorough inspection. There were bed bugs in our room, I had to make a trip to the doctor, after our stay. I was prescribed antibiotics, because the bites were so bad, also cost me a day of work. I couldn't find an email to contact the hotel, so I called the front desk. I told them about our room, so they wouldn't give it to someone else. They said that they would block it off and inspect it. I never received an apology, not one single sorry. I won't be able to go back there again.

The rooms weren’t the cleanest and the breakfast bar was very lacking.

My in laws loved it, pool wasn’t overcrowded. Is in perfect location for what we needed to do. We will be back soon.

We always have a wonderful time. Everyone is always so nice.

The price was great, the room was clean and had a ok view from the balcony. The pool closes at 12 but didn't kick people out till 12:30am which was cool. It not a "5" star hotel but for the value and location its a 5 for me. Looking to book here again near December.

The room smelled like mildew. A lot of the appliances were barely working including the toilet and mini fridge. The remote wasn’t working because the batteries were a little corroded and I got battery acid on me. The breakfast buffet was disappointing. There wasn’t a lot of options and the food was bland.

Clean room, breakfast could use some spicing up a little.

Everything was good. I would stay again.

Hotel was really good. Facilities were nice. The only negative was the description says 2 outdoor pools and an indoor pool but there is only 1 indoor pool.

I wish the breakfast had been more of a variety. The pool needed to be maintained better. Staff was nice.

False advertising with breakfast. It wasn't in the restaurant. It was in a hallway with gravy biscuit and half cooked sausage and scrambled eggs and fruit. Next, they did not clean room or bring towels. They advertised having a spa. They did not except for ones in rooms. They had an arcade that used tokens and games wouldn't work. They would not give money back for tokens bought. Only one elevator worked. They stated that had newly refurbished rooms. Did not see that. The room I had had nasty carpet. Tv too small for rooom. Do not recommend at all.

The room was very clean. Kitchenette was great. View from our 5th floor of mountains was nice. Staff was nice and helpful. Would stay again!
