Close to PNCPark. Long line at check-in.

    Disappointing

Overall good. Staff was helpful, but hotel is undergoing major renovations. Hot water was in short supply and my room air conditioning cooled but didn’t dehumidify, so it was sticky. But location was good.

While the breakfast and staff was excellent, the room needs updating. The bed needs to be replaced. The hotel does a nice job in supporting customers, I just feel being right next to ballpark and a walk to football stadium is gets overused and other customers abuse the rooms. While the main area was being worked on to be redone, the rooms need it as well. Super convenient to all the areas/walkable.

The staff could'nt have been any friendlier. Parking is a big bonus. Nice size room Kitchen area was very spacious The lobby was like an oven. Definitely needs air conditioning Carpets in the room and hall could have been cleaner Needs a 4 cup coffee maker. Not everyone likes to make a cup at a time

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and it was in pretty rough shape. All of the kitchen pots were Teflon and badly chipped, the living room furniture had fabric that was completely worn out, there living room carpet was missing sections and there was a nail sticking out in the main walkway. The pull out sofa had terrible mattress, just springs wrapped in fabric, no padding. They were updating the lobby, hopefully the rooms are next. I would look elsewhere until you see comments about a remodel.

Location was great. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They all were working very hard because it was busy and everyone always had a nice word and asked if we were happy with everything . Currently under a little renovation for the dining area but breakfast selection still good.

I read reviews just before we leave home and a while after making the reservation. I was nervous but the place was decent. Can’t beat the location across the street from PNC Park. The breakfast room was the best they could do with apparent construction. Get there early for elbow room. Three out of four elevators running. Occasional waits. Only problem was the room didn’t have hand soap. Waited an hour an a half after asking then asked again and waited five minutes. Minor problem nice stay. Great location

Staff was helpful and had no issues with the room

Great location, good breakfast The power went out for an hour. The staff said that happens every time it rains. We were not able to use the staircase for some reason and had to wait for the elevator which seems like a fire hazard. Also the bedroom door hinge was broken so the door didn’t close the whole way. The air conditioner took a long time to kick on but eventually worked well.

The biggest issue was that the rooms were not ready by 4pm check in. We were not given a specific time that they would be ready. People were just waiting around in the lobby and checking in every so often. Finally we got a room after complaining that this was unacceptable. The AC was not working in the lobby area for the duration of our trip, but was being worked out. Thankfully the AC in the rest of the hotel worked well. Room was mostly clean but not stocked with what we needed. We had to ask for extra towels and bedding/pillows for the sofa bed. Usually there is bedding for the sofa bed available in a drawer or closet, but it was not there. Sofa bed had a lot of crumbs on which was gross. Cleaned those off so it was useable, but it should be checked once in awhile! The rooms need an update. The sofa had stains and ripped cushions. The rug had a rip in it. The king bed mattress and the pillows were not comfortable and need to be replaced. (They were replacing mattresses somewhere during our stay because they were loading them onto an elevator during our stay.) So all in all, the things we had to deal with were annoying, but you can also see that they are working on things as they can.

My husband and I have stayed here many times over the last ten years. It’s been awhile since our last stay and I was shocked how a mess my room was. We stayed two nights in room 224. It was clean, however, there was gum stuck to the ceiling in the kitchen, the freezer was dented, the ice maker didn’t work, only one light in the bedroom worked, and the baseboard was broken and a large chunk missing under the dishwasher and oh yeah, the door to the room did not close right. We had to make sure we pushed it shut really hard when we came in or out. The room really needs maintained.

Had a great time in the theater district on a quick overnight trip, but the hotel stay was dismal. The room we booked ahead of time wasn't ready at check-in time (we weren't trying to get in early). They asked us to come back in 20 minutes, which we did. Still no room. The front desk person helping me worked very hard to solve the problem, was apologetic and thanked me for my patience (wish I'd gotten her name--she was great), but it took a long time to sort it out. The manager she asked to help resolve the issue didn't know what to do. Meanwhile a long line had formed. The manager stayed hidden in her office while one receptionist helped me and another helped a phone customer. Even if the manager couldn't check people in herself, she could have at least apologized to people waiting or explained what was going on and thanked them for their patience or offered water (a/c wasn't doing much with the door open because of all the people in line waiting). We finally got into our room an hour past check-in time, which negatively impacted our evening schedule. The hotel lost electricity the next morning, which was a problem for a family member with mobility issues who had to navigate 10 flights of stairs. I'm sure it impacted others as well. I mentioned how disappointing the stay was when I checked out but that receptionist shrugged it off and told me, "Things happen." Of course, but usually management is a bit more empathetic and forthcoming with assistance.

But the room and hotel were clean, the bed was comfy, except for the sheets coming off, the bathroom and shower were clean.

Mixed experience with staff--some were very helpful and responded well to issues, one in particular was not helpful at all.
