Portland Regency Hotel & Spa

This was one of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed. Would definitely stay here again

This historic hotel was perfect for a vacation to Portland! Located in a historic building, this hotel has been beautifully maintained. Rooms were very clean and large for being at the center of town. Additionally, the location of the hotel was perfect for walkability. We didn't have to take a car anywhere. The spa amenities were a nice addition that helped us recover from all that cobblestone walking. Additionally, the free shuttle service to/from the airport was an added cost savings. When I first booked this hotel, I honestly thought it was overpriced. However, after having stayed there and taken advantage of the location and amenities, I can say it is a good value for the price!

Visited Portland for the first time, the Regency is in the perfect location. It’s a great food town, do your homework before you go and make reservations.

Very nice, super clean room. Love how the rooms are set up. We didn’t hear any doors slamming like we do in the chain hotels.

A wonderful place to stay after 10 days of driving throughout New England. Location couldn’t be better; walkable, historic neighborhood close to the wharf with plenty of shops and restaurants in the area. Front desk staff and valets were very helpful in suggesting places to eat (McLoons is great for a pub feel). Our room was very comfortable and spacious; perfect for our needs! Will definitely recommend to anyone visiting Portland!

Nothing. Old dated rooms. Very noisy could hear the entire conversation the person was having in the room Next Door hugely noisy elevator that vibrator the room so much the TV vibrated on the wall. Couldn’t sleep. No daily service. Awful. Avoid. Nothing. Breakfast but that was extra and outrageously expensive

Choose this hotel for the excellent location and proximity to things downtown not for a high end experience. This hotel has a great walkable location, was comfortable, and relatively clean. It needs some updating but we were only there to sleep so didn’t mind.

Mattress was so uncomfortable that we had to switch rooms. Front desk took off parking fee for our trouble.

The hotel was nice, the staff was friendly, the valet was completely necessary!! The rooms are clean and comfortable, but a little dated in the decor. The morning coffee and tea was a nice touch. Our room didn't have much of a view, but the bathroom was a good size with plenty of towels for our stay and the bed was comfortable. We didn't have any issues when we requested an extra blanket and the valet was always available and didn't take long to get our car. Great location to be able to walk to everything in downtown. Easy check-in check-out experience no issues. Would recommend if you want easy in/out parking with a valet and a very walkable hotel in downtown portland. Biggest pet peeve: tv only has cable option; can't login to streaming services like Netflix/Hulu.
