Great location right in the heart of the Old Port District. The hotel is showing its age such as physical keys, and our smoke detector went off several times, but overall it was a nice place for a get-away.

Breakfast was superb and I cannot speak highly enough of the staff in there - professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the food being served.

Great location! Valet parking very responsive

Two pillowcases head stains on them and there was also no hair dryer. Staff was not very friendly, especially some of the valet people. Pillows were also uncomfortable, and the Jacuzzi was broken. Also crazy that valet is $40 a night.

My room was spacious and comfortable. One thing though: windows are too high which gives the room a bit of a stuffy atmosphere. The front desk informed me that this is typical of third floor rooms. I highly recommend the hotel and their lobster rolls! This is definitely a destination I will return to very soon.

We only stayed one night, so we didn’t have the opportunity to enjoy the hotels amenities. However, we received a complimentary upgrade, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The grounds and property were beautiful, the staff was exceptionally friendly, and the breakfast was fabulous. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

We are two couples who enjoyed our stay due to the central location, cool neighborhood, helpful staff in an updated historical building! GREAT place to stay in Portland!

Nice hotel in the perfect location. Easy to get around by foot, close to restaurants, coffee shops, shops etc. the valet staff ($40 a night) and grounds keeper (watering flowers around the property) were amazing, very friendly, and helpful, nice to have a quick chat with. We found the front desk staff and the hotels garden bar staff (across the street) a bit dismissive and not very welcoming which was surprising based on other reviews. The spa steam room and jacuzzi were closed for renovations (which we didn't find out until we checked in), the gym is okay (older machines that were stuck on weight settings making that machine useless if you can lift more/less) but good treadmills and dumbbells. We stayed two nights and didn't get turnover service (beds made, fresh towels, water restock) and while we could've called and requested it by time we got back it wasn’t worth the trouble. Overall based on the location and the cleanliness, we had a good trip but I don’t know if I’d rebook.

Great hotel for exploring Old Port! Wasn't too far from anything - felt like the perfect location for our long weekend getaway. Beds are SO comfortable, great pillows, nice shower. Everyone at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We did ask for our room to be cleaned on day 2 of our 4 night stay and it wasn't done (had to ask again the next day), but other than that it was a great experience.

the room was very spacious and clean.

Everything was great. They should include parking though.

Location was perfect! So close to restaurants and activities. I also took advantage of the free airport shuttle as I did not need a car due to the great location.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Girl checking us in was very abrupt and did not explain amenities such as gym and hot tub closed at 6 pm or that parking had in and out privileges, Resulted in a very poor experience and overall disappointing stay. Would not rebook here.

Upscale hotel with upscale ambiance. Attention to details throughout the facility was outstanding. Convenient location to waterfront, many dining options, and shopping.

    Great location and wonderful staff!

Lovely place to stay by everything. Beautiful old building with some charm. Bar is swanky and a dive atmosphere at the same time. Beds were sooo comfortable. Only downside is jacuzzi isn’t open during convenient hours.

Perfect location and we especially enjoyed the jacuzzi in the spa. The outdoor cafe was a nice surprise. Close to lots of coffee shops and a short walk to restaurants and the waterfront. We loved the character of this historical building. So much to do (and eat) in Portland!

A bit hard to find the entrance in the dark, but great location, clean room, helpful staff. Enjoyed my stay.
