Great location (near shops, restaurants and bars). The bed was extremely comfortable.

The location was perfect. However, the front desk staff wasn’t overly helpful-friendly. Also, we had 4 adults sharing one room, the room had two double beds and was really crowded.

Had an absolute wonderful stay

Location location location!!! Bed was comfortable. Room was ok. Towels were plush, bathroom was a bit tight In general, the hotel staff was excellent, and our overall experience was very positive. Unfortunately, our interaction with the evening bartender/lounge hostess was a notable exception. While our party of six adults and two children was spending the evening in the lounge playing games, I took out a small chocolate bar to eat. The bartender approached me and rather sternly informed me that hotel policy prohibited outside food in the lounge. Even after I showed her that it was simply a chocolate bar, she repeatedly emphasized the “hotel policy” in a rigid and unnecessarily confrontational manner. What made the interaction particularly surprising was that our group had been welcomed to use the lounge to play our own games, and we were actively patronizing the hotel—we had ordered coffee and desserts from the hotel that evening while enjoying time together. I certainly understand and respect reasonable hotel policies regarding outside food and beverages. However, there is a considerable difference between politely explaining a policy and making a guest feel as though they are being reprimanded over a chocolate bar. I was taken aback by both the tone and handling of the situation. Given how friendly and accommodating the rest of the staff had been, this interaction felt especially out of character for the hotel and unfortunately detracted from an otherwise very enjoyable experience.

Car valet service was lickety-split. Complementary upgrade to suite was unexpected and appreciated. Location was perfect, and we enjoyed the character of the building. We were not told that housekeeping services had to be requested, even though there was a tip envelope from housekeeping in the room and a "Do Not Disturb" doorknob hanger. And when we did request housekeeping, it took far too long to come. Our bed was not even straightened, much less anything like a turn-down service, just a bunch of towels plopped into the bathroom.

Excellent location and super comfy bed. The bathroom was very dark. Bar was not open

The most charming hotel in Portland. An old armorh turned into a hotel! Very well kept. Staff was very nice. 2 bars and restaurant are on the premises plus the garden restaurant/bar across the street you can utilize. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of it all. The shuttle service from the airport was amazing.

Great location and excellent staff!

The location is perfect. Shopping and restaurants are steps away. The staff were friendly. The valet staff were amazing - very helpful, friendly and courteous. We both had massages and they were so relaxing. Only one bartender when we went to the lounge for drinks but she was friendly, service was quick and she checked on us often. I highly recommend this hotel. Another room's Room service tray was left out in the hall all day, even after housekeeping came through. It was eventually picked up late evening or early morning. But that's the only dislike.

The room was clean. Check in was easy. We didn't find the refrigerator until we were leaving, it was hidden very well. View out the window was a brick wall. No information about restaurants or things to do in the area. Glad we only stayed one night.

Nice property in good location. Tasty Resturant and really enjoyed the female barkeep in the whiskey bar (knowledgeable and friendly service)
-
mold in the shower, downgraded me to a basement room w only one bed from a two-bed normal room and gave no discount or accommodations. the staff was completely unhelpful in this regard and even went out of their way with expedia support to push back against changing my rate.
-
needs to be longer fitness room availability(open earlier and closing later, such as 6 to 6)
-
The location was excellent. The bed was not comfortable, the pillows were too hard, it was too expensive, there was no free lobby ( the guy at the reception said not to sit too long at the lobby without ordering a drink)..
-
Central location close to shopping, the harbor and restaurants.
