Great place to stay! The hotel is beautiful. The staff were nice and helpful. We took the kids to the pool/hot tub almost every night. I loved that there were two very roomy hot tubs and the pool was very large. The best part of our stay was the free breakfast. Being able to have a fresh omelet made to order was unheard of for us and we went every morning. The free evening drinks were also nice and they even had something for the kids. Our only issue was parking, the hotel charges a lot to valet park and it’s a substantial amount more than staying in a parking garage that’s right next door. Anyone visiting this city will need to set a good amount aside for parking costs. All in all we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Portland.

The hotel is located in the center of Portland only 5mins walk from the riverside. The room is spacious but it’s very outdated. Old dresser, older closet, old bed…… you have to pay for the parking which is 28$ per day. Free breakfast buffet but not many choices . I won’t stay there again

Beautiful building but needs a lot of maintenance. The paint was peeling in many areas. The pool area had a large amount of visible rust. The laundry facilities were very small for a hotel of this size and the breakfast area floor was sticky every time we walked on it. It felt like a bar where people had been dropping sugary drinks all night. The room was very nice though, beds were comfortable and linens were high quality.

Highly recommended!

Worked well for our family of 6!

Love this place. Rooms are great. Love the pool and hot tubs. Haven’t tried the sauna yet. Breakfast and happy hour are a plus. Stayed there 3 times. It’s our go to place.

Super friendly staff, good location, and great setup for families

The property was beautiful and well maintained. The elevator got a little stuck at one point but it was quickly fixed. Be prepared to pay a bit for parking though.
-
It was very pretty and the food was supper good Parking was awful we payed over $100 to do the cheap parking for the two days that we were there
-
For 200$ for one night the room was a bit disappointing, I was hoping booking with hilton it might be a nicer view. They did offer to upgrade us when we got there but I didn't want to pay even more for the one night stay than I already was, pool closes kinda early, but it was very clean and the valet gentleman were helpful👍

Staff was helpful, check in was easy. The evening reception was down in the basement, kind of dark and terrible snacks, no thought put into what was provided. Drinks were Ok.

It is an historic hotel

Rooms are tidy and cleaned daily so it’s better kept than living in my own personal home. Common areas are clean, and intentional including the lounge in the lobby, fitness center, indoor pool, entertainment room (games), and the dining room. I would highly recommend the Embassy downtown for your future Portland stay. It’s a definitely a value and major go for families with young children.
