It was decently clean and the drinks in the eveningwas nice and the breakfast was good. The old historical building charge on my incidental was unexpected and wasn’t told about until fret it was charged? Interestingly enough they did not disclose the charge . The bed was very uncomfortable.

    Disappointing

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

The breakfast was better than I expected. Especially the fresh omelets! Staff was friendly throughout. Safe neighborhood but coming out first thing in the am there were several places with fresh urine on the side of the building that puddled. I’ve been to many cities around the world and the nicest ones have a few minutes of cleanup in front of their buildings. A little bucket with water to do a reaal quick clean up of things such as this makes a huge difference in presentation

    Very good

The room smelled heavily of cleaning chemicals. There was obvious wear and tear but the hotel itself is an older building. The cost for parking is very high. The evening drinks and snacks were nice and the breakfast was very good.

Staff is not very friendly. Breakfast is ok. Good restaurant is close by.

I’ve stayed here multiple times now for weekend trips. Staff is always friendly and check in/check out always runs smoothly. I was bummed to see only one hot tub working and the sauna was under maintenance. I book this hotel for those two things so that was kind of a let down especially for the price I paid. Otherwise a great stay per usual!

This is a beautiful hotel. The parking fee is a steep $65.00 valet charge. I intended to use the pool but the chemicals are way too strong. The buffet is quite good but the ready to order omelette bar can be slow and long. Some chefs had all four burners going with a sense of urgency. Another had 2 casually going as if he was cooking on a lazy Sunday at home. If people were staying at the hotel for business, this isn't practical. The room was also beautiful and well kept the first day we arrived but the maid service is the worst I have ever encountered and I travel a lot. It should be unacceptable for any hotel. Dirty filters will left in the coffee maker, trash was left on counter tops, nothing was wiped down, the bathrooms were not properly cleaned. Even the remote was left as it was. But the most egregious is the way they made the beds. The sheets were hanging out everywhere. I asked to speak to the manager. I was told she'd be right back. After waiting and waiting, I just left. On my trip we stayed at 2 other hotels of less caliber. Their maid service was far superior. This was suppose to be the highlight and it was definitely the most expensive. Unfortunate the hotel is all style and no substance.

We would have liked more cut up fruit variety at breakfast. Parking at $60+ at the hotel seemed very high. The location is downtown. There are cheaper surrounding parking garages.

    Lovely hotel, great location

They say omelet by order for breakfast as a highlight, but only person serving the counter creating huge lines.

Convenient location close to Saturday market, Powell’s, and other stuff. The receptionist that we checked in with (the second time, see below), was great and friendly. Wanted $40/room to check in early. Old and worn down rooms and building. Housekeeping did a poor job of cleaning the room. Bed was lumpy, furniture was dusty and wobbly. Not enough anything in the room - towels, Kleenex, cups - had to keep calling front desk. First receptionist we talked to was not too friendly and was using scare tactics to try to get us to pay $65 to park at the hotel. Just so you know, the US Bancorp building parking lot is right across the street and felt super safe - for $16 a day (weekend). Happy hour was a good idea but drinks were weak and snacks were very basic. Included breakfast was also basic and always needed refilling. Quality was meh. I would’ve preferred saving some money instead of having these “included” perks. Overall, a meh stay with the location being the only saving grace.

Morning breakfast was delicious, portable crib very helpful Was expecting more snacks for the evening, but appreciated the drinks! Also would have loved another omelet chef, the line took nearly a half hour even on a weekday and my family started and finished eating breakfast without me :(

Only negative is street people surrounding hotel. Just be street savvy and aware of your surroundings when walking in the area.

We are a family of 6 (2 adults, 2 teens, 1 tween, and a 75lb dog). We got the 2 bedroom which is 2 beds and 2 baths. It was perfect for our 4 nights. Room was clean. Extra towels and blankets came quick. There was plenty of space for our dog and his bed/ toys. All staff were so sweet! Brett was amazing during our stay in May when it was just 3 of us, but she was extremely amazing when she saw our pup. She made sure he felt welcomed and loved which was so sweet. Valet was still great and the breakfast variety continues to be one of my top reasons for staying here. There is something for everyone including me being vegan with many intolerances. The nightly happy hour is a bonus. Looking forward to returning to this specific location.
