Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Downtown

Beautiful hotel with fabulous breakfast. Employees were very helpful and courteous. Payed for parking separately through vallet parking.

The breakfast was good! Standard fair eggs, sausage, potatoes, pancakes. Oatmeal was runny. Fruit was delicious! the pool/hot tub was amazing. The staff so friendly and helpful. always sausage for breakfast, some people would prefer bacon or ham.

I loved the interior decorating, very old school, spacious with lots of seating in the foyer. It was great having in hour breakfast and free drinks in the evening. The gym and pool were great to use, We used in-house dining, the service and food were excellent. We really appreciated the spacious rooms with a numerous seating options

I loved the employees! Finding parking in front of the hotel was a bit of an issue when we first arrived. We had to drive around the block until a spot opened up, but once we parked, check-in was quick and easy. Our room was nice, spacious, and clean. The location was great and close to everything downtown Portland.

The room and hotel was nice. Parking prices were outrageous. Paid for parking elsewhere and walked.

Long history with Embassy Suites. I travelled for work and spent 30-40 days a year at Embassy Suites. Would normally highly recommend. This time one of two TVs (the one in the main room) did not work. We had to call the front desk to get glasses for water and cups for coffee. At check-in, there were two people at the front desk. The woman checked in four guest, while the man read something on his computer. Later the same man, when asked to make change for a twenty, suggested I ask the valets or see if the restaurant could do that, “when they opened”. Later, when I mentioned that the service for tipping charged a fee with each use, the same man looked at me and scrubbed his shoulders. Might not have bothered me at a different site but I believe Embassy Suites can do better.

Breakfast was good, though we were only able to eat there one day because it didn't open early enough The hotel seemed run down, and the location was not great. A lot of shady characters in the immediate neighborhood. And the rates to park at the hotel were exorbitant.

The hotel was very nice. We had our dog, and she was given a bed and a bowl. The only negative was there was not a place for her to use the bathroom nearby. We had to walk quite a distance to find a grassy area. The other negative is that was the very expensive parking option.

Great location with pool and free breakfast. Perfect for families with kids.
