This is an older Hotel but very well maintained and very clean. The only think that I think needs improvement is the breakfast/bar on level 2. It’s like a basement atmosphere. Maybe add some more ambient lighting throughout the restaurant so it doesn’t feel like a stuffy dungeon.

Embassy suite is the only hotel I have ever stayed at in Portland. Been staying here for decades and I did notice this time that the property is starting to look a bit dated. The free morning breakfast is fantastic, the location of the hotel is perfect but as mentioned it is beginning to look more than a bit worn. A good place to stay at but just not great.

Great place to stay when in Portland.

Our family stayed here for three days, and it was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. This beautifully maintained historic hotel is in the perfect downtown Portland location—just a block from the train and within walking distance of excellent restaurants and attractions. Thank you for giving us adjoining suites, it made our stay especially enjoyable for our grandson. The suites were spotless, beautifully furnished, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We also loved the outstanding made-to-order breakfast, evening cocktails and appetizers, and the sparkling clean pool. What truly made this stay exceptional was the staff. Every employee we encountered was friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making guests feel welcome. A special thank you to our valet, who stored our luggage while we visited the Portland Art Museum, recommended a wonderful lunch spot, and then delighted our grandson with a green balloon dog and a few magic tricks before we left. That simple act of kindness created a memory our family will always treasure. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so memorable. We only wish we could give you 10 stars!

The Pool need
-
Hotel itself was fine. Pool and hot tub were not clean. Floating band aids. Breakfast was just okay for an Embassy Suites.
-
Great location, amazing breakfast and friendly staff.

Great spot

Expected more. The vent in the bathroom had years of dust debris built up, the elevators are so small I could barely fit the luggage cart and one person. The breakfast is good but country inn and suites has an amazing breakfast too. So idk just 3-4 stars from me. Nothing special expect the building itself.

Breakfast was great. The Sauna was closed. Hot tubs and pool area was a bit of a let down. Room was fantastic. Recommend!

It was a great place to take the whole family! Amenities for everyone and plenty of space.
-
The hotel is great however the first 2 nights of our stay our room had a broken AC. No meaningful discount was given even though we spent 2 of 6 nights with no AC in our room. It was quite hot and made for a poor night of sleep 2 nights in a row

Quiet rooms, comfortable beds, great breakfast. Chlorine in the pool was strong but thats about the only complaint.

Would recommend Embassy suites to anyone visiting Portland, Oregon. Staff very cordial, rooms are spotless. Also, you receive a full breakfast and happy hour is great too!

Very kind front desk and bell hops. Lots of great amenities; we love ES for their afternoon snacks, generous breakfast selections, etc. Older, but spacious rooms. The kids enjoyed the large pool at this location.
