The hotel is in the worst part of Portland. They have no parking unless you pay an $80 valet fee. This you have to pay since there is no parking in the streets unless you want to risk parking in an area full of junkies and thieves. The Hoxton knows this, hence the ridiculous “valet fee” plus tip! I was able to park my car in a parking garage after a half hour of stress and exhaustion from my trip. Turns out that’s EXACTLY the place they park the valeted cars you pay $80 for!! RIPOFF JOINT

The staff was hands down one of the best parts of our stay. Every single person was so kind, welcoming, and helpful. They always greeted us with a smile, asked how our day was, how dinner was, and made us feel like they genuinely cared that we were there. There was an older gentleman who worked the night shift (I wish I could remember his name), and he was absolutely amazing. He went above and beyond and made us feel so welcome every time we saw him. The restaurants were excellent, the service was outstanding, and the whole hotel just has a vibe that makes you want to stay longer. Five stars all the way across the board. Thanks, Hoxton, for an amazing stay—we'll definitely be back!

Small room but perfect for one night stay! Very cute!
-
I loved the helpfulness of the staff, I did not like the limited menu options as none of them were health conscious
-
Lovely attention to details, like real milk in the room
-
It was trendy, clean and welcoming The location around it is not the best but I think that’s Portland right now. They also charge quite a premium for valet parking.

Staff was great. Very helpful and friendly. Made sure we felt welcome and we were greeted with some free drinks and a note in our room. Had the queen room, and it was a little smaller than expected, but still a great place to stay, and would definitely recommend to anyone.

I loved that it was in Chinatown and did have options for a good taco place on the roof, great coffee shop and a good Filipino brunch on the main floor. When you check in, they offer you a complimentary beverage (I had a Capri sun) and the hotel was extremely well kept and clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They had a random door on our floor that said "nothing to see here" which cracked me up. The bed was comfortable and I slept like a baby. You do have options for parking - there is free street parking (but parking in Portland is crazy to find at times so buckle up), there is a self-parking lot for $24/day with in-and-out privileges, and a $60/day valet service. Something to note: there is a large and vocal group of homeless people in Chinatown, and although that can be jarring at times because sudden loud noises, no one ever made me feel unsafe. I walked around without any problems alone to my car as a woman. The room came with coffee and tea. And when I entered the room, the local Portland jazz radio station was playing on the speaker - kinda cool! The rooms are rather small. I had to upgrade to a King bed to get a room that had enough room for luggage and the two of us. The room we were in had a view of another building's hotel room, which was kind of funny and luckily vacant the whole time. I would've liked an iron in the room.
