Evergreen Inn Portland Airport

The rooms are updated and nice. Its great value. The area is a little sketch. And the bed had like a broken spring or something.

When you have to check in behind glass, and there are women in 6" platforms coming and going, you might have chosen a low end motel. So yes, it's low end and looks it from the outside. The room was clean but it was the kind of place that uses plastic covered pillows. Dicey neighborhood at night too. But for a place close to the airport to flop, it's fine.

The lady up front started arguing with another customer. When I was checking out I asked for my deposit and she said they would refund me on my card, I told her I paid cash and I asked for my deposit back. She also didn’t give me a receipt when I asked.

What I didn't like was when I went into the bathroom and closed the door. I couldn't open it from the inside, and had to wait for my wife to return to the room to let me out

Reasonable rates, very convenient, huge room.

Nothing Dirty rooms. Key cards stop working. Nonoffice staff no pool no ice. No refrigerator. All false info.i want half my money back

BEWARE - this place is a scam. this place scammed me for $90 after i had to fight to get a refund after realizing it was not safe to stay there. they have a sign in the window that reads: "you must cancel within 10 min of checking in for a refund" and when you go to office window there is nobody there for at least 20 min after you checked in.

ive stayed in a lot of budget motels, this was by far the worst. if you have another option take it.

Stains and burnt holes in sheets

everything was locked rang the bell for the staff first they were not personable at all asked for cc and id also noticed they had quite a few cameras that were on the computer you could see. The main doors to the rooms had a rock in the door so anyone could come in. Tried to shut the doors but no locks the room key appeared to only be for the room. The doors and such a big gap to the room so the lights come in through the door. the floor was filthy. when I tried to leave every exit was not useable as they had gates which were chained up so only one way out (what if there had been a fire) very unsafe

Bathroom was dirty, the toilet didn’t properly flush. Towels were all dirty. Floors are dirty.

I had a safe experience at this hotel - if you are looking for a low budget place to lay your head, and can navigate the casual nature of the environment, you won't have a problem.

Not safe, not clean. Beyond filthy. Walking on the sidewalk felt cleaner than walking on the floors in the room. Slimy handprints on the walls and head board. Blood on the bathroom walls.

I was only trying to checkout and the receptionist started accusing me of smoking in the room. I don't smoke. I was assigned a room that stank of cigarettes smoke and because it was late, all I did was lay down to rest, without fussing. They should train their staff to be nice.
