Hilton Portland Downtown

It was very spacious and easy to get to off the elevator. It was quiet and we slept very well. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant exceeded our expectations even though the price was a little more than what we wanted to pay. I didn't like having laundry carts outside out room on either side. It was like someone just forgot they were there. The valet parking situation was a horrible experience. We had to drive around the block 10-times in order to see a sign, find a space to pull in so valet could park our car. There was no cart offered and we had to haul all our luggage and bags up 20-floors.

Great location, great property, safe but expensive parking garage doesn’t accommodate large pick up trucks

For example, I had asked the front desk staff if they could help me acquire a bit of dish soap - so that my wife and I could quickly wash/sterilize some baby bottles and pump parts for our 4 month old infant. The response from two staff members there was: "We don't have that here. Maybe we could ask the cleaning crew... Actually, they won't have it either. Why don't you go and ask the restaurant staff? If they don't have it - then you'll have to walk ten minutes to the nearest grocery store." Ok... You are the concierge - maybe you should ask the restaurant for me? Whatever. I walked over to the restaurant and asked the staff there. The response from staff member there: "Sorry, absolutely not. Dish soap is a chemical substance, there's too much liability involved for us to share that with a guest." What?? I was honestly in disbelief. Anyway, that was one encounter (of many) where I simply wasn't impressed with their hospitality. Wouldn't recommend staying here if you want to feel taken care of.

Room was not as pictured. It was very basic. Location was great nonetheless.

Room very noisy and not too clean

During check‑in the staff didn’t explain how the included breakfast was supposed to work, so I had to figure it out on my own the next morning. These details made the experience less smooth than it should have been. The breakfast itself was good.

The rooms was absolutely beautiful and amazing. So comfortable and I had an amazing view.

Property was clean. Staff was friendly.location was convenient.

How close it was to EVERYTHING. That it was either pay for valet or pay to park. Should be advertised as such. Didn’t know I’d have to pay another 45$-59$ just to park.

The staff was great, the location was excellent, but unfortunately the rooms directly off the elevator shaft are subject to loud elevator noise, so if you are a light sleeper, try to avoid those rooms, and you will have a terrific experience. Elevator noise, probably exacerbated by a wedding party during our stay. The elevator ran pretty constantly the entire night. They offered to move us, but we didn't have time to pack our stuff during the day. Again, top notch staff, just needs better sound dampening.
