I was wiling to pay $40 for garage parking but they said it was full, but luckily I found free street parking a couple blocks north. Going on a weekend helps, because the 2-hour limit on some blocks only apply on weekdays. And while I heard absolutely no noise from outside of the hotel, I woke up many times from noise from the hallway. Not rowdy guests or anything, just simply room doors closing and people having normal-level conversations. I don't recall ever hearing so much noise from a hotel bed at anywhere I've stayed before, maybe because most hotels have a kind of corridor from the room door to the bed that separates the room a bit, but here the bed was much closer to the door and had a more open layout. Also as other reviewers mentioned, the bathroom walls are frosted glass, and the door is a sliding one (also glass). I don't know if every room is like this, but on Google images it looks like even the double rooms have this. Unless you're a couple, it will be awkward. Friends/families/co-workers probably should probably not stay here together unless they have their own rooms or if they're comfortable having less privacy in the bathroom.

Great safe location, friendly staff, modern and clean. Parking was easy. We loved everything about it! I can highly recommend Jupiter NEXT to anyone looking for a stay in downtown Portland east of the river.

Bed mattress wasn’t very comfortable. The parking garage being across the street was a bit inconvenient. Great vibes. Good location. Friendly staff. Spacious, clean and comfortable room. Nice views.

Fabulous stay at Jupiter Next! Great location, staff was super helpful, and we loved our room with the giant windows and great view to the west!
-
Great location with good access to local coffee shops, restaurants, cideries. Less than a 30 minute walk to city center. Modern, updated facilities. Friendly staff. Comfortable room and bed. Parking at the hotel garage was significantly more than expected once city taxes were added. Common areas and carpeted areas could have been a little fresher/cleaner.

Staff that takes care of you and communicates with each other well. Absolutely great location, easy parking, and the bar next door (plus two crazy great restaurants within a block or so) made this one of our favorite locations. Glad to stay here next time we come back!

I think they’re trying to follow the “keep Portland weird” thing because nothing in this hotel made sense or following any usual conventions. There’s no parking, checking in was tricky (I didn’t know where to go), the receptionist mumbled to herself when she spoke (I had to ask her several times to speak up), room was ok but shower is weird with one of those half glass walls so the whole bathroom was wet after a shower. The TV didn’t work and when I called the front desk (with my phone since there’s no phone in the room) the guy who was very nice came up and fiddled with the tv and remote for awhile then left the room and came back 5 minutes later and fiddled with tv another 10 min then said I don’t know how to fix this. I mean that was fine. He was nice I guess.

We were looking for a hotel that didn’t look or feel like a basic hotel like a hotel chain. This place had a lot of character, great location for night life, friendly and helpful staff and was very well maintained. The only “meh” about our stay was being able to hear EVERYTHING our next door neighbors said and did. They were a group of young, drunk women who had been turned down by a guy at a bar- so they were not quiet people. But I feel like the walls were a touch thin. Also a wish our room had a coffee pot instead of having to take a trip to the lobby, but that’s a very minor inconvenience.
