Front desk guy was nice but there's nothing else redeeming about this place. There was no parking and the area is surrounded by sketchy drug users. Our bathroom was still a little dirty and the shower was rusting, the windows were dirty too, the bathroom door did not fit or latch, closet had no door, and the furniture was old and damaged. The towel holder was outright broken. Rusty nails were coming up in the floorboards where you could easily trip or impale your foot. Overall an unpleasant experience.

Great location for less (hotels across the street are double+ in price) and FREE parking! If you are looking for a place to crash while spending all your time exploring all that Portland has to offer, surrounding mountains, coastlines (etc) ... definitely recommend!

Our 2 day stay was not as good as I expected it to be according to past reviews I read and the reason why we chose to stay here. Our first night was terrible we were given a very old room after we requested for a ground floor room which we saw was not renovated yet. It stinks and smells, felt damp , dirty and scary to sleep. We asked for a replacement room and were told its full and we can transfer the next day. We were left with no choice but to sleep the night thru in that terrible room. The next day we transfered to a better room but over aIl it was not a good stay. We would jot come back anymore.

It had been a long travel day, so it took me a while to realize that meant I could park until 9 am on the street. Also, the furniture in the room was in poor repair. The office chair had a lot of plastic torn off. However, it was reasonably clean!

Get there early peeps. There’s not enough parking. There is only about 40 parking spaces available for a hotel with about 100 rooms so go figure. Unfortunately I was driving from Los Angeles. Had to pay $20 on the private lot next door and you have to leave that lot by 6am SMH. Factor in the $20 parking when booking this place. The male staff was kind of zoned out when I got there to check in at 10pm. When I asked about parking he just gave me a blank stare. Had to ask him again about parking options. No elevator working and my room was on the 3rd floor not very good when you have to carry all your luggage’s because the private parking lot next door was kind of ??? I was approached by a crackhead lady with a shopping cart asking for money so of course I wasn’t leaving anything in my car. Building is old but room was clean. I can honestly say i walked around the room barefooted because the floor was clean. Although they should change the rusty racks in the shower.

Place has been “home” for the last 12 days. Other than the key cards needing to be reprogrammed almost daily, it has been a nice, quiet, affordable place to rest. Parking is first come first serve so get there early!

    Exceptional

Pretty solid for the money, old school motel vibe with nice rooms with decent space

The fact that there is no handicapped parking is concerning because my husband is handicapped. The bed was like sleeping on springs and our TV didn't even work. I guess thats what I get for staying somewhere cheap. Although 70.00 was alot for what we stayed in. We could hear everything outside our door. And the smell of weed was crazy, but theres no smoking.

This was a work trip with long workdays, so basically just needed a place to get cleaned up and sleep. Eastside Lodge was centrally located and was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Coffee was ready early!

Great option for an in city cheap stay, walkable to some restaurants and clubs - would not stay w kids or family, but for a solo or maybe w partner weekend escape in the city it was fine. No security for parking lot or access to guest room floors - no elevator - there are a fair number of people coming and going all the time pretty much. I didn’t see anyone loitering in the parking lot but maybe middle of the night that could happen

Location is close to most of things and buses or subway very close No front desk staff at all, have to go to the different location 3 minutes away to get the key, no parking.
