We love the view from our room, also the room was very nice and spacious. Very close to everything and a good restaurant at the hotel.

I supposed to get 20% off when I dine at their restaurant. But they didn’t honor that.

    Superb

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Our room smelled musty. It was not cleaned on day 1 and our neighbors room service was left for several days and not picked up until I asked The restaurant did not open until 8am on a Saturday as staff did not show up Advertised as a “Kimpton” property but apparently new owners took possession a month ago.

The staff were pleasant and helpful, the room was large and comfy. We were told the property had just been sold so some of the amenities had changed. Not a huge deal but we were looking forward to enjoying the wine hospitality hour and that is no longer a thing

Clean. Spacious. Great restaurant. Exquisite view!

The restaurant was a big disappointment. Cold eggs. Expensive. It cost $60 a night to park your car. Nice location on the river.

Great location. Friendly staff. The property could use an update, but overall we had a great stay.

The hotel was EXQUISITE...there were quite a few stairs involved (sometimes I felt kind of like I was mountain climbing BUT the VIEW & the room itself were TOTALLY worth the effort!! The staff was just FANTASTIC & SO attentive that I felt UTTERLY pampered!!! If you're looking for a TRULY lovely place to stay in Portland OR, then you owe it to yourself to experience this hotel. Not only because it is GORGEOUS but also because it's location is quite handy & many types of businesses are within easy walking distance...ENJOY!!! There was NOTHING to dislike as far as I am concerned...your hotel & it's staff were WONDERFUL!!!

Had to ask the front desk to send someone to pick up room service trays in the hall - there were 4! Overall would recommend

Not sure how this hotel is considered a luxury hotel other than the price. From the exterior to the furniture choices, it looks like a cool historical apartment building that was remodeled into a hotel in the 90's and not in a funky vintage modern way. I will say the staff was very friendly, the location was conveniently located for us, and the lobby was clean but once you stepped onto the very slow to arrive elevators or onto your floor, the whole place has the musty smell of an old building-maybe nostalgic for some but not pleasant for a hotel. Our room was advertised as having a fireplace but we didn't realize it was a wood burning one! The room smelled overwhelmingly like wood smoke when we arrived-for a minute I thought we had been assigned a smoking room! The built ins, including the bathroom, were all in need of repair (scratches, chips, water damage, etc.). Coffee in the lobby was only out till 10 on the weekend which seemed early for a weekend in Portland-most places at least have water and coffee when you come in. And then there's the $60 valet fee which is ridiculous given there's a pay to park just a few buildings over. They also charged a "resort amenities fee" which is weird since there are no amenities. Overall I would definitely not recommend this place nor stay here again.

Yes, the location is wonderful, but it's the staff that really make this place a retreat. Even my dumbest attempts at romance for my guest were met with enthusiasm and creativity.

Great place to stay either pets. There was plenty of green space to let the dogs get out their wiggles.

Stayed here for 5 nights while in town for a conference. Location is amazing, views were stunning, everything was nice, comfy, clean, etc. It’s just an outdated hotel, especially carpets and finishes, bathroom especially. Staff was okay, some days they held the door, some days they didn’t. Housekeeping everyday rocked, room was spacious and comfortable, lobby area was inviting and nice. I’m praying I never have to go to Portland again but if I did I would stay here.

    Hotel is dated

Bad experience had valet can’t use parking had to use public parking I’m driving Tesla using phone as key. Room had weird smells and floor not cleans. Had cityline view room was blocked by trees I can see what? Room are noisy can hear outside plays music. Bathroom not the same as photo. Not recommended for second time.

Our room was spacious, but of course we paid nearly $3000 for it so I would expect that. I liked the daily housekeeping as well as the full kitchen in our townhouse. I wished the hotel would’ve provided free water bottles in our room. That would’ve been a nice amenity to enjoy for the price we paid. As far as criticisms go, the toilet paper roll is not adequately positioned in the master bathroom. It was very uncomfortable to roll out. Also the shower is definitely needing to be updated. Ours was scratched and a bit dirty looking. Also, a very small and confined space. The last thing I wanna mention is in regards to families with small children. I know you guys get that information prior. You should book rooms accordingly. There was a family with a small child right above us that was running for hours along the floor every morning. It was so disturbing. I had to call the front desk and have them do something before I took matters into my own hands. Small children should never be on anything but the first floor!! You must realize this! For that reason, we might make a bigger deal of which room we’re staying in if this were to be a problem once again.

Very accommodating Staff. Breakfast service was slow, but it was delicious. I did have to check my bill carefully at checkout because they tried to charge me for parking although I did not bring a car.
