Staypineapple, Hotel Rose, Downtown Portland

Great location for the price. Good breakfast and drinks. Cute room. Nice balcony.

Arrived and I had booked a room with metro view. I was placed in room with view of trees. The Front desk lady was not friendly. There was a manager and another person checking in people but she was rude. They charged too much for such a basic hotel. 2 people had their cars broke into. Kitchen wasnt open 1 night. Not at all impressed.

However, housekeeping did not clean our room daily, and even though I requested it several times, it was never done. In addition, the noise level was quite high, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

It wasn't the cleanest stay but for the 4th of July, I enjoyed watching the fireworks from the room (at midnight). The shower head made a strange high pitch sound but overall staff was super a accommodating and the breakfast was decent.

Came down for one night cause the fireworks were across the street. Bar and restaurant were closed on the 4th of July!! They could have made a lot of money that day. Front desk staff, both of them did great. We were on the 4th floor and had a great view of where fireworks were going to happen, except for the fact, the windows were very dirty. We live just outside of Portland and we looked forward to a small getaway. We had a great time rattling and cocktails at Paddy’s around the block. But we wanted to spend it at our Hotel

What a fun, creative and dog friendly hotel. The location was super convenient. We attended the Blues Festival and brought a pup along. The park is across the street for dog walking and minutes away for the Festival. Restaurant was good, employees all friendly and helpful! Loved our stay and we will be back.

Great value hotel in downtown Portland with convenient parking. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great little hotel near restaurants and the river. Quirky ambiance that works. Only think was in our room, the large window had kids fingerprints all over and smears of unknown substances.. I just closed the curtains so I didn't have to look at it.

We love our family at the Pineapple Rose Hotel in Portland. You guys always treat us like family. Thank you for everything you do. If you want a great stay in downtown Portland you finally found it.

I appreciate that the staff promptly moved me to a different room and offered a complimentary beverage. However, having to relocate and get settled again late in the evening disrupted my night, and I did not sleep well as a result. Based on this experience, I would not stay at this hotel again and cannot recommend this location.

All the staff I interacted with were excellent. The only issue, which was not the staff's fault, was I originally booked a balcony room with the cityscape view and the only balcony rooms at the hotel are view of the freeway, not a cityscape. The hotel clerk, Jeanie and manager, Kennedy, were wonderful about just switching to a room with a view of the waterfront. Apparently there are no balcony rooms at the hotel with the cityscape. I had no issues with accepting their very reasonable accommodations.

We usually take a look at the bed sheets before using the hotel bed. This time, we were shocked to see several stained areas on the bed sheets. After requesting changes of the sheets, the house keeper was in-and-out making trips to find the right sheets to switch out the dirty ones. Half an hour later, three layers of flat sheets were used to put on the bed to replace the dirty fitted sheet. Hotel receptionist said that they were full that night so they could not change the bedroom for us. It was really quite a disturbing incidence.

Staff were excellent and helpful. Room was well equipped with everything we needed. The onsite restaurant and bar was a nice option to not have to go out if we didn't want.

It’s extremely noisy. The soundproofing is terrible.

Our room smelled like cigarettes and the furniture is all messed up. Fridge was barely cold, torn curtains. They charge extra to park and an amenity fee. Parking is very limited. Our room wasn’t ready at check in. The beds were clean though.

Parking fee was lower than most downtown hotels so that was nice. Our room wasn’t cleaned or replenished even though we took our small dog out with us - perhaps they just don’t clean rooms with pets for safety reasons.

Came in real late to check in. Staff was super nice and helpful. Room was very nice, and super clean. Definitely will stay here again.

This property is so adorable and the staff was amazing. We brought our pups and they had treats and a park right across the street. It happened to be extremely hot that week and the AC was not as cold as we would have liked but other than that everything was great.
