The staff is nice. They offer free water, yet the O2 was out for the sparkling water. Never refilled it. Drawers in the room don't stay shut. Supposed to put out cookies from 3:30pm-6:30pm and didn't. No body wash. First room they gave us smelled like cigarettes. 2nd room okay.

They told that my room was going to be clean every other day and the only clean my room once and that was because I told them

Positive aspects. Good location for downtown shopping and easy parking in their garage. Not so positive aspects. Room had pealing wallpaper and mold in the bathroom. Old thermostat was difficult to adjust. Noise from the garage below room. This is a hotel for dog owners. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant. I would not stay there again.

The facility was clean and well maintained. The staff was attentive and helpful. Great experience.

I checked-in and left within 20 minutes. I didn't ask for my money back, I just left. Friendlyish staff- a bit devoid of personality , convenient water refill with the free recyclable water bottle but I did not feel safe. They put me in a room directly behind the elevator, so that mechanical noise along with noise of people inside the elevator was unacceptable. The place had the feel of a halfway house, which it may be and that just wasn't what I was looking for on my first night ever in Portland. I travel with an RF and camera detector, it kept alarming, especially when pointed at the full length mirror. It may have been detecting other signals since the walls are cardboard but it was not worth it for me. I can afford to walk away from that $170, so I did. I am sure it is fine for most; maybe if the all of the walls and furniture were not completely covered in chipped paint and I was not put in the elevator shaft room, I might have not been so put on guard at first but this is a perfect example of you get what you pay for and I knew better.

Really nice hotel, well situated in Portland. The bed amenities were very nice as is the free bottle of water and the water filling station in the lobby - so helpful.

This hotel is a little dirty, from our past experiences staying at other pineapple hotels we were a little disappointed!! I wasn't disappointed in the service they were very accommodating so again thank you. Maybe new housekeepers?

It's a fun, quirky hotel and they lean into the design and human touch. The two duvets on the bed is brilliant. I've stayed here before and chose it again for those fun aspects. But the building is old and showing its age. AC was broken when I checked in, and they had no timeline for the repair. The windows open, technically, but only about an inch. That was not nearly enough for meaningful airflow, but it was plenty to let in all the traffic and people noise. End result for me: I couldn't sleep. They let me cancel and I was able to move to another hotel.

The front desk staff were friendly in person, but if you had to call for anything, it would typically take 4-5 calls before they would actually help. Then, we ordered coffee from the restaurant, only to be told they ordered the wrong lids, resulting in my mother getting scalded by her cup of coffee. We were told they were going to call to check on her, but never did until after I complained at check out. Plus the hallways were absolutely filthy. Great location, nice beds, but not worth it. Also, our "waterfront view" room was only of a tree and the sink and shower had to be repaired before we could even use them (the next day) after checking in. It was one thing after another.

First time staying at a Staypineapple. Love the location very walkable great restaurants within two or three blocks incredible Riverfront park across the street. I felt the hotel was getting a little tired and in need of fresh paint and minor repairs. Somebody had previously smoked in our room. It was a bummer that the restaurant lounge was closed most of the weekend due to staffing issues. Overall, the stay was OK. The beds were comfortable.

Identical to when I went a few years back. Didn’t feel like they made any upgrades to an aging hotel. Enjoy Portland but not sure how much I love this hotel

    The stay was underwhelming.

Good location. Water (still/sparkling) station was helpful.

Large, clean rooms. Helpful staff. We stay here every time we come to Portland. It is easily walkable to museums, restaurants and shopping. It is also on the light rail MAX and close to bus stops. The modest parking fee was well worth being able to park and leave the car in a secure lot. I do object to the $25 "amenity fee", which I think is simply a way to charge more for the room without advertising the real room cost. The fee did not appear in Expedia's on-line room cost.

The hotel was esthetically pleasing. However, the elevator and hallway smelled. The refrigerator did not work. When we requested wash clothes, bath towels, and ironing board, were told the staff was running behind the first day. The room was not prepared for four people to stay. On the second day, we requested additional towels and wash clothes prior to leaving the room for the day. However, when we returned late in the evening, we did not received anything and had to wait hours before being accommodated after requesting multiple times.

It is very noisy. Also the cafe staff are constantly changing and don't always know the difference between a mocha or a latte...

Great location. Loved the overall vibe.
