University Place Hotel & Conference Center

Quiet, nice chill spot that doesnt feel lije you will get stabbed in your sleep. Even have early check in. Will make this my spotbehen I'm traveling to Portland

Great location

Staff is friendly. Breakfast is good with a wide variety of choices. There is plenty of onsite parking for $13 per day. The rooms need to be renovated, and the carpet needs to be cleaned or replaced. The soundproofing is poor—you can easily hear people talking in the hallway and in the next room.

This hotel is good value for the downtown Portland area.

First floor rooms have hardwood floors while the second floor still has an old carpet. Which was some kinda downgrade from the prevous stay. On the other hand, it was the fist time ever we had all three rooms next to each other. Prevously, we had them on the opposite sides of the hotel.

Decent stay; breakfast could have been better with more options; but overall enjoyed overall stay!

The hotel pictures advertised look at lot different then the real hotel. This place is like very very old and needs some updates done…the place overall just smells weird. I couldn’t get over the weird smell in the room. And the ac barely even worked.

Everything was up to our standards, no complaints.

The staff were rude and have really bad attitudes , would not recommend this place

Older but clean buildings and rooms. Bathroom was clean but did not have body wash and had to wait until next day to get some bad quality bar soaps to use. (Couldn't p have them when readying the rooms..?). Breakfast was good with some hot items available. They charge for parking each night but at the south end of Portland downtown area so we could simply walk there. It is situated next to PSU but there were still a lot of homeless people nearby. Good food options nearby that are for college students including food trucks, if you like those. Staff was ok, nothing to write home about.

It was a pretty good experience. Friendly staff. Nice place. Good price!

It’s a clean hotel and the staff was helpful. There is a complimentary continental breakfast. Great location to Max transit station.

The shower was less than clean which is what my review is about. Everything at the hotel that I used was great. I’ll stay there again but the showers are due for a deep clean, remodel or at least new grout to get rid of the suspected mold

Our room was very spacious. Even with people next door and above us the noise level was so much better. The staff at check-in and check-out were kind and friendly and very positive people. The breakfast room was huge and comfortable.

It was Thirteen plus dollars for overnight parking The quality of the space felt like the overall price should've been less The continental breakfast exceeded our expectations. And the vibe at breakfast felt more like an international adult hostel, which was really cool actually. The desk person went above and beyond and made me some copies of my script for a wedding I was officiating the following day. He did this graciously and free of charge which I thought was above and beyond.
