Great value for Downtown Portsmouth. Easy walk. Great location. Onsite parking expensive. Relatively new property. Well managed.

This hotel is in a great location and walkable to everything downtown which was convenient. However, for-warning if traveling in summer time. The AC barely functions and is extremely loud! Was woken up at 3:00AM to what sounded like a helicopter landing in the room, but it was the AC unit acting up. The walls are also very thin. There was a dog staying across the hall that barked all night. Hotel also advertises free breakfast from 7AM-10AM. Got down to the lobby at 8:30 AM to to empty hot trays and was told they weren’t going to be bringing anything else out. To add to all of this. We paid for our room in full and when I went to check out the girl at the front desk said I needed to pay and my card was declined. I showed her my receipt of the room being paid in full, and asked how would we have been able to check in if the room wasn’t paid. She gave the last 4 digits of a card that didn’t even belong to us. This was a half hr ordeal, until she finally called a manager who was able to walk her through the reservation system and confirm the room was paid and we were all set.

Only complaint: AC in the room occasionally made noise that sounded like it needed some maintenance, we had to turn it off then on again once, but nothing serious.

Great Hotel & great location. Would definitely stay here again.

It was written on a placard that breakfast was until 10am while they closed it at 9am.

The parking was a challenge in Portsmouth. Valet only and they ran out of spots at night.

New hotel, very clean, perfect location, friendly staff. Room was great, spacious, nice water views. Staff even let us check out two hours late. Full kitchen included (fridge, stove, microwave)… very good deal overall. All good - price reflects location and amenities. At $250 a night for a King size when 4th of July was approaching… can’t get much better.

Love it! Would definitely come back.

Everything was wonderful with one problem . There is no parking. So your forced to do valet or park next door in this garage which was inconvenient for myself and family because we traveled from far and we didn't want to carry kids plus luggage. Its cheaper but again convenience thing. Other than that Everything was great.

The front desk staff were amazing. The room had everything we needed in obvious, useful locations (strangely that’s not always the case in hotels). I should have read the description before arriving as I thought there was free onsite parking.

The location of this property was great, on the perimeter of downtown Portsmouth which is a wonderful little city. The staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, both for good selection and the taste. My biggest complaint is that it was very noisy in my room. The AC unit is the loudest I've ever heard. A few times I thought it was a nearby train when it started running. Also the people in the room above me woke me up at 1 AM doing something. I didn't hear voices but I heard banging that lasted for quite a while. I heard the same thing the next afternoon. So maybe better insulation is needed for both noise problems.

We were referred to you by a family member who had a wonderful experience. The hotel and room itself was very clean and the breakfast staff very alert and helpful. The only issues we encountered was regarding the toiletries provided in the shower. I took the first shower Friday night. I noticed the shower gel was almost out. When my husband showered after I did, he had to use shampoo instead of shower gel because he couldn't get anymore out of the pump. Saturday evening I went to the front desk and asked for some more shower gel. The man went out to look and brought back 2 options he said. I looked at the bottles and he brought out hand soap and hand lotion. I said I'm so sorry, this isn't shower gel. He said it isn't? I said no I need something to wash my body with, like soap. During this conversation a couple came up to the desk to check in. I told him I would sit and wait while he checked them before continuing to help me. I sat on the bench with my 5 month old baby and waited. He ended up having to check on the room for them before because he said the computer said it wasnt ready yet so he went to confirm that information. He came back and confidently gave me a bottle and said here you go and then walked back to the desk to check in the couple. I walked to the elevator and looked down and saw the bottle he gave me said shampoo. I had no energy to continue to wait with my baby and potentially get another wrong item. I myself spent 19 years in customer service so I also felt bad even asking in the first place, I didn't want to seem annoying or rude by asking for a third time. I had to use shampoo that was already in the shower to clean myself and it left the shower floor extremely slippery and my body felt so slimy. I left the full shampoo bottle that he gave me on the counter in our room which was number 229.
