Hampton Inn Princeton

Within an hour of checking in, we were moved through three rooms: one had a broken TV, another had candy wrappers in the couch and Cheerios on the floor, and the third still had food on the floor and sticky stains. We stayed in Room #3 hoping things would improve. That first night, I found built-up grime under the shower seat and we used our own towels and washcloths to clean parts of the room ourselves. My husband showed the photos to front desk guy, on Saturday morning. He assured us the room would be deep cleaned while we were out. We left for four hours and returned to find nothing had been cleaned, the linens hadn’t been changed, and we hadn’t received fresh towels. Frustrated, I said to my husband as we walked into our room, “This effn hotel is dirty.” Omar then called me and said my language wouldn’t be tolerated and accused me of treating the staff badly. When I asked how I had mistreated anyone, he changed the subject and said they had seen my review. He ultimately offered us a full refund if we wanted to leave, and we did. Ironically, while I was getting my refund, a group of boys were loudly cursing throughout the lobby in front of families with young children, and no one addressed it. From overflowing trash outside the entrance to chaotic breakfast service, this hotel was dirty and poorly managed. Our experience matched the negative reviews exactly. I would not stay recommend to ANYONE!

the hotel was nice. the breakfast was amazing, staff were kind. check in went fast and smooth. If we ever travel to Princeton, NJ again; this is where we’ll be staying.

Breakfast was great! Lots of space in the room for my family. Clean but not a chemical smell that I am sensitive to, so it was perfect for me to have a great night sleep!

Very very good experience

Bathrooms need fans in them. Also the step in the shower should be in the back not the front to assist with shaving legs, etc. A larger trash can in the room would be great. The halls had a foul smell (like eggs) at times. Outside amenities were nice for our group.

We had stayed overnight on the way south. This hotel was chosen for location and had good reviews. The place was clean, the front desk staff were very helpful and pleasant. We were given a room near the back entrance in close proximity to reach items from our vehicle. Stay was brief but good. The bed was very comfortable. We chose to stay again on the way back home and enjoyed this overnight stay as well. We will use this property again when traveling south. Thank you :)
