La Quinta Inn and Suites by Wyndham at WaTiki Waterpark

Hotel was okay. Kinda loud with lots of children running around. Room wasn't the cleanest and tub was stained and pillows were flat and uncomfortable. Waterpark was extremely busy with lots of kids splashing and being obnoxious in the hottub. Breakfast was limited options with the same thing everyday.

I initially booked this property to be the main highlight of our big family road trip. I have two kids that were excited about the water park. The night before check in (past the time of cancellation for a full refund), I was scrolling Facebook and happened to see a post saying the main attractions of the water park were out of service. I tried contacting the property and was unsuccessful. We had a 10 hour road trip to even get there and paid $350 for the stay. The next morning, we spoke with a manager at the front desk who offered enough Wyndham rewards points for 2-3 nights hotel stays to use on our trip, so we continued on the lengthy drive. At check in, nothing was offered to compensate for the main attractions being down, and when I asked, I was given one $20 meal voucher for my entire family of 4, which barely covered one hamburger. When we got to the water park, we were only there for 15 minutes before the entire thing shut down. At check out, we were told they were “working on adding Wyndham points to guests accounts.” A week later- nothing. I called to ask and was rudely told that they are working on a list and will get to it when they get to it. $350 for a sub par hotel room, no water park, poor customer service, and 2 very disappointed kids is absurd. We will not be back.

Great location. Close to Mount Rushmore and Custer park. The pool was great just not enough seating at times. The room was clean and the staff was great! Breakfast was good, typical hotel food. Would stay here again!

The rooms were clean and staff was great! The kids had an absolute blast on all of the water slides! We will definitely be going back!

Overpriced rooms food and drinks on property overpriced and inside the water park was overly hot and had no air movement and was really hard to breath. The water was to warm to enjoy and cool down not a very affordable place for families my room was 415.00 a night and no house keeping unless you requested it. Room was clean but second pull out bed was noisy and uncomfortable.

I liked that you could order food right to your table! Very fun and convenient place to stay!

The wristband system for the waterpark was confusing and not explained to us at checkin. My wristband didn’t work for my room door. I also want to make others are aware that the hotel told us they only provide four free wristbands for the waterpark. This was surprising to me because my room booking was for a room that sleeps 6. The wristband limit was not clearly described on the hotel website, Expedia, or the waterpark website so my expectation was that wristbands for the capacity of the room would be provided at no extra charge. Others should be aware so they’re not surprised like I was. The breakfast was ok but not the best. Coffee was out and staff did not plan to refill it. Overall we had a good stay.

Staff at check-in had an unhappy face. We had to ask staff for a new key since our room would not open. Yes, it's a fun waterpark for the family however, not the cleanest. Breakfast was good so pick your battles.

Room was filthy so we had to move and the next room was no better. Breakfast food stopped early and staff were rude, so dissatisfied!

Nice people. Staff were so so some were nice some were rude. I never had to call front desk before to ask our upstairs neighbors to stop jumping. They were jumpers for hours non stop when I called the front desk they said I was not the first one, then they stay jumping again I. The morning at 5. Am

Our rooms were very clean, as was the entire hotel, and the beds were comfortable. Loved being able to come and go to the water park as we pleased throughout our stay. Breakfast was good - we especially enjoyed the guy making waffles for everyone! All the staff we encountered were friendly. Nice being close to the interstate too. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent hotel for families with lots of activities. Having the water park now included with your stay is the way to go. It is a very expensive hotel, but also a good hotel.

Tienen muy buen servicio de atención al cliente. El parque de agua muy divertido y con un horario muy amplio para disfrutar en familia. Lo único malo que vi fue que el en el parque de agua se llena mucho pues no es exclusivo para los huéspedes del hotel y esto trae como consecuencia que las mesas se agoten enseguida y pases trabajo para dejar tus pertenencias o si quieres comer algo
