My Place Hotel - Rapid City, SD

Close to major freeways. In and out. Just like we like.

They were very accommodating, we got there early and they let us check in early. Very friendly staff. The room was very clean and comfortable. The price was right as well!

very clean. A/c worked and wasn't too noisy. They let me keep my dog in the room for an extra fee. Laundry was convenient I wish the hotel had made it more obvious in the description of the place when I booked that the kitchenette has no cooking or eating supplies. I assumed kitchenette meant I could cook and eat there and save some "dining out" money. We could not cook the food we brought (hamburger helper and fried eggs- yum, huh?) as we werent willing to buy cooking and eating supplies from the hotel. When i tried to check in at the advertised check in time (3:00) I was told the room wasn't ready yet. I was told to "give us 20-30 minutes". The check in lady told me she'd text me when the room was ready. I assured she had my phone number. We did not recieve a text, so returned at 4:15 and the room was ready. This was a bit of a disappointment as we would have sure liked to check in on time.

No soap (on order they say), no bath mat (on order they say), cigarette burns all over the bathroom counter and tub. Front desk person had to run to each room as guests were checking in to put pillow cases on as housekeeping had not done this during f the day. Made for a slow check in. Front desk person was doing a great job and was upbeat about it. Would choose elsewhere next time for sure.

Room was clean, location was easy, accommodations were reasonable / affordable for our dog. Added this to our favorites :)

There is something wrong with the elevator. The manager gave us a great recommendation for food. Bed was uncomfortable. Very clean.

Great location at a great price.

I liked the pet policy. Nice clean hotel. However there wasn’t any hand soap or tissues in the bathroom.

Check in time was 3pm. I arrived around 5:30pm and had to wait for my room. I was told it would be ready in a few minutes, which to me means maybe 10 minutes. After I waited over half an hour, I tracked down a staff member to say that I had somewhere to be and needed access to my room. I was given some attitude and excuses, which really made me think they didn't care how much they were inconveniencing me. After about 45 minutes of waiting for a room that should have been ready three hours earlier, I was finally able to check in and had to rush around to get ready for my event that evening. The attitude of the staff could have made a lot of difference.

Room was very clean and staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for us. Only bad part was putting up with the noisy guests from room 214 two nights in a row.

The lady that checked us in was super confused and took about 10 minutes to check us in, but she ended up upgrading us to a larger suite. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Not incredibly clean, but certainly acceptable.

Rooms were spacious and clean. Quiet. Attractive outdoor appearance.

Nice place with everything except breakfast

The staff members told us that since the kitchenette didn’t have a dishwasher, they couldn’t provide cutlery, plates, or pots and pans. But, we could BUY them in their “store.” Unfortunately, their marketing ads didn’t mention the unstocked kitchenette or the availability to purchase supplies, but it featured the kitchenette!!! False advertising!
