Staybridge Suites Rapid City - Rushmore by IHG

Our room was clean. We had maid service every day. We loved the morning breakfast. One wish would starting the breakfast at 6 instead of 6:30, because my husband is an early riser.

We loved the happy hour/breakfast staff. They were incredibly kind, thoughtful and did a wonderful job. ******* Negative parts: We had bugs in our room both dead and living. When mentioned to the desk, we were asked if we had pictures which we did and were shown. The response then was on, sorry. We went to the desk at one time during the morning of our checkout and the young lady cared more about taking a sip of her coffee than helping us. We also (prior to discovering the bug issue), went online and booked a second night and received a a phone call about an hour and a half later with a message that said that they were booked and have been, they dont have a room for us, they dont know how this happened and will call the third part booking app to talk to them. I called later after receiving the message and spoke to someone and they had to call the hotel who hadn't called in (hours later) and then daid they were on the phone then calling.

The beds definitely need to be replaced. We had three nights at the hotel and beds in our room were not comfortable. For the price we paid for this hotel, my family actually would've been happier at the Comfort Inn for ~$30-40 a night cheaper. We booked this hotel expecting it to be nicer and willing to pay a little more. The carpets need a serious cleaning throughout the hotel and beds were not comfortable. We had an issue and the manager moved us to another room. The new room seemed better for our issue but we were just never ever to get comfortable here. The coach mattress is very thin so not a lot of support. Our kids were uncomfortable sleeping on it. We did love that the hotel has complimentary laundry. That was helpful and for the most part, hotel was clean. Hard to believe the hotel is about a decade old as we watched this hotel be built when we lived in Rapid. This property is okay, we'll choose to stay somewhere else next time. So hard to be on vacation and barely get any rest. For my family, this place was not comfortable.

The best hotel I’ve stayed at in quite a while. Staff were wonderful. One member even got my baby a special meal that he could eat. Great place to stay.

The best hotel our family has stayed at that wasn't a resort. Complimentary guest laundry room, Social Hour M-W from 5:30-7 fed our family dinner for free and has free beer and wine during that time. The hotel was so clean and had everything we needed and more. Highly recommend!

Best hotel we've stayed at; very clean, breakfast was amazing, free laundry machines, extremely comfortable beds, very nice pool and hot tub. It was also only about a 30 minute easy drive to mount rushmore so also very convenient location.

Staff were friendly and helped when I needed assistance with options of what the area offered and with the computer. The evening dinners on Monday and Tuesday were amazing. Loved the options provided and the kitchen staff did a wonderful job always checking to see if any of the food options needed to be refilled. Love Staybridges hotels and have been to many throughout the USA.

This place was great! We stayed for a week it clean, quiet, and comfortable.

Nice place to stay with family

Arrived very late after flight delays, staff was helpful and kind.

Breakfast was very well prepared and served. Staff was polite and efficient.

This hotel gets an A+ from me for several reasons. The hotel is very clean and in a very good location in Rapid City. The breakfast every morning was awesome with a lot of selections plus an array of fruit. The scones, though, were our absolute favorite breakfast treat. We were also lucky enough to be staying on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday which is when they offer a "Social Menu" from 5:30-7pm which comfortably fed my family of four with a delicious main entree and side dish, salad bar, dessert, and beverages (including beer and wine for the adults). Plus the staff were always diligent in keeping the area very clean and were also so friendly. I often heard them thanking us for staying with them. In addition, there were a couple grills on the back porch along with several chairs and a fire pit. We were able to grill out on a couple occasions which was so helpful with minimizing the cost of eating out. All in all, I LOVED this hotel and would definitely return in the future!

Everything was great. Location was near all the attractions we were visiting. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great! Nothing. We enjoyed the stay.
