Motel 6 Redding, CA - South

It's good

This motel was disgusting. There were hyperdermic needles around the facility. They had overflowing garbage in every trashcan around the motel, house keeping walked by all day long and did not change them out. There was garbage all along the corridor, the outside was absolutely filthy. The dog area out back had overflowing cans. We encountered a few black widows in the parking lot by car and outside our room. They had cockroaches in the bathroom, wall, and ceiling vents. The staff congregate outside the front lobby smoking all morning. There was not any motel staff to ensure loud partying was not going in until 330 AM. The only good think about this place was the front desk guy in check in, he had the patience of a saint dealing with some of the other patrons seeking assistance before we checked in. We could not stay here and had to find another hotel on short notice over the holiday weekend. This was not safe for kids or pests. My son saw his first cockroach and I doubt I will ever live it down. I have no idea how this place has higher stars then the most of the other motels in town. Shame on whomever is creating fake reviews to lure families in. Never again.

need to deep clean

The room was dirty, the towels had poo stains, the sheets had cigarette burns. It was infested with spiders, inside and out.

Very clean room, shower had low pressure and toilet was loose

My only gripe is they let people smoke in the pool area and they let people stay there later than the posted hours. A little annoying if your room is right next to the pool.

Not cheap for what you are getting.

Traveled with a friend, my room was okay, but hers had black mold in the bathroom, no fridge or microwave (even though they booked a room that was supposed to have both) and the AC didn't work. She said that she took the linens off the bed for the maid and that the mattress cover was really gross. There were large cockroaches all over the exterior walls at night. I would not recommend.

I work in and out of the area, I like to go to a convenient place to stay, talk to friendly people, sleep well and easy check out. Every time I stay there the experience is the same. That's why I go back. NO I liked everything

Nothing I didn’t get to stay the stated that they were over booked so I had to find another room elsewhere

Location close to stores food and freeway

In a very bad part of town. No fridge or microwave. I will not return

You pay for what to get the floor should be mopped a little bit better my microwave door locked on me so I had to unplug it. Just take my food out. The walls are pretty paperthin. You can hear your neighbors

We believe they help with the homeless problem, which is very admirable. However, when this happens, they don't always keep rooms up to an acceptable standard

Comfortable bed

Very little riff-raff The issues with the card locks, Both nights stayed involved a second time to get a working key. The Staff was still helpful in the matter.

Experience they had spiders everywhere literally black widows on the vents the place smelt so weird and dirty never again. Girl was nice but not helpful at all couldn’t check in till 4am and I got there at 1 am after scheduling for that day a whole week ago

Inexpensive, basic motel, no frills, but good enough for a nights sleep.
