American Inn Suites Detroit Metro Airport

This time the shuttle came to pick me up from the airport earlier than i expected. Which a significant improvement.

The mattresses were super old and rock hard. The wall in the bathroom was peeling. The toilet was running when we checked in, they fixed it then it didn't flush properly. The sink drained really slow and the water pressure was super low. This hotel needs a lot of updating. It also appears to be an extended stay hotel.

Stained sheets, noisy, water leaking thru the bathroom vent fan from occupants above flooding the tub. Would not recommend stay.

I was in town due to a family emergency and needed a quiet place to rest. Instead, I was unable to sleep for the entire night because of the continuous operation of the laundry equipment. I reported the issue to the employee on duty, who acknowledged that my room was next to the laundry room where the hotel washes its towels. I was told that nothing could be done. I then spoke with the front desk manager, who stated that the matter would be brought to the attention of the general manager. I find it unreasonable that the hotel operates loud commercial laundry equipment late at night while guests are trying to sleep, especially in rooms located immediately adjacent to the laundry facility. Assigning a guest to such a room without warning or providing a reasonable solution when the issue was reported resulted in a seriously disrupted stay. I respectfully request a full review of this matter and appropriate compensation for a night in which I was effectively deprived of the quiet enjoyment of my room and unable to obtain any meaningful sleep.

A “hot” breakfast should include eggs or sausage. Toast and “Premade” waffles in a regular toaster makes for a weak breakfast.

Do not I repeat do not waste your money here at the property. It is July and it’s super hot. The AC went out. The toilet didn’t flush. And the staff did nothing about it. It was 3 o’clock in the morning and told me I can get a refund if I left right there. I wouldn’t stay here if somebody paid me to stay here. It was beyond horrible.

No T.V. They didn’t pay their internet bill… in a room with no T.V. To watch terrible and the shower and tub need to be updated it was dirty and stained. Pillow cases and towels wasn’t crispy white and dirty. Couldn’t sleep there had to check out early. Should got half my money back only stay for 3hrs. It’s quiet refrigerator and microwave work. Need to change filters and clean a/c. Clean curtains walls and lamp shades. Staff was okay a lil helpful.

It’s a nice airport hotel

First 3 rooms we were sent to had not been cleaned (9:20pm) 4th had no working lighting/lamps. No internet or television (blamed on previous days storms. No compensation for any of it. Basically the attitude seemed you aren’t happy….. then leave. I won’t be a return customer

Power cut off had to stay in car and charge phones, No body at the desk to checkout early

Convenient and not as busy as east side of the airport

This was my first experience at this hotel, and it exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness and service. It's very good for its price. I recommend visiting it.

Room was clean. Washroom was dirty and hair left in bath-top and on toilet seat. Bath-top had black spots and worn out. The lady at reception was really rude and not helpful. Parking is the only good thing in this hotel.
