Wyndham Garden Romulus Detroit Metro Airport

This had to be at my absolute worst hotel stay the rooms were nasty the bathroom was disgusting the tub was pulling away from the wall there was water and rust coming down the walls in the doors the air conditioner literally sparked smoke came out while it was on. The only thing good about the hotel was that the kitchen staff were polite and nice. Their stains all over the carpet all over the hotel some of the workers at the front desk had the nastiest of attitudes. The furniture was extremely worn down the legs and everything wood chipped holes and walls everywhere behind the TV they didn't even have a cord for our TV and it took them over a day to get one for HDMI cord absolute worst day and I would not recommend it.

The staff was very friendly and professional. They attended to my needs in a timely fashion, and they made me feel safe and comfortable. The pictures and description of the hotel were accurate. Upon arrival. There was enough to do within the hotel to keep us occupied during our stay.

Don’t let the pictures fool you. When you walk in you are welcome with the scent of dirty bar rag with a hint of mold. Walking to your room you are greeted with endless mystery carpet stains all of various colours and odours. When you reach your room that looks like it has been busted down or kicked in your key card won’t work. Then when you get in your hit in the face with the smell of mold and the party that was had before you. The curtains stained falling off, the lamp posts stained, bedding stained and the bed don’t even ask. Room 1056. There was a huge sign that outside stating Travel Lodge so I can only assume they bought it, “changed” names but not a lick of renovations. Sad cause the staff great but a filthy environment.

One room was not enough to accommodate everyone in my party, so I was unable to stay at the hotel as planned. This caused significant inconvenience, stress, and the unexpected need to find alternative accommodations. A confirmed reservation should guarantee that the rooms will be available upon arrival, especially when the hotel has accepted payment or secured the reservation with a credit card. I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled. I am requesting a full refund of any charges related to one of the rooms, including any cancellation or no-show fees.

This hotel was disgusting. There was mildew everywhere. The carpets and ceilings had a ton of water spots. The hallway had previously flooded and the floorboards were now rotted and warped. Our shower was backed up because the drain had not been cleaned. There was so much (of someone else’s) hair!

The pool closed early - Check-in wasn't good - was told by night shift staff that the pool didn't open until 11:00am in the morning, which was the check-out time. Everything was dirty & moldy. Bein and Expedia customer got us a less than stellar room to use with no view whatsoever - facing a wall. Pool area moldy, not kept clean and lots of sand. While breakfast was ok, the area with plants was clearly not kept up. This is not typical of a Wyndam hotel. Will never stay there again.

The shower didn’t get warm… and we didn’t have a mini fridge.

There was no dirty clothes bag. No hair dryer in the room.

The room was dirty, dirty used washcloth was hanging over the shower curtain rod, there was a half drank soda in the refrigerator and the remote control hardly worked. Was moved to a different room and the TV speakers were half blown, the sink was plugged up and you had to hold the handle down on the toilet for the toilet to flush. Swimming pool was closed the whole time, dying and wilted plants were all through the inside of the hotel

I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Clean

I also had a negative experience when the air conditioning stopped working at midnight. Despite requesting alternative accommodations, no other rooms were available. We asked about other options, but nothing could be arranged. I hope the hotel will honor the credit they promised as compensation for this inconvenience.

I’ve been calling and emailing constantly to sort out a refund I was due for not using parking and they are just ghosting me. I get told to contact different people and I’m not hearing back. They are just hoping I’ll go away so they can keep the money

Everything went well

For the price it was a good deal and worked for our family. We were traveling with our 1 yr old and although I had called ahead to confirm they had a pack n play, they didn’t have a working one when we arrived. They also didn’t have extra blankets. The staff was helpful though in finding other sleeping options for our toddler. The airport shuttle was very easy to use.

Was unable to travel due to the Canadian wildfires, called ahead of time to let the hotel know about such inconvenience and to cancel my stay. Was STILL charged for a whole night that I did not stay even after I was told "your account has been notated"
