Loved it here and would stay here again

The breakfast was decent, however it was a bit pricey. Since I had the Marriott Fairmont Inn inbooked that came with the free breakfast they gave me vouchers. I didn't ask for the vouchers they just gave them to me The room was quite adequate I don't have any other complaints I would probably stay here again.

Everything was great. No pool, but there was a gym, laundry room, snack bar, coffee bar and friendly staff. Only downside was no elevator. I'm not sure why. The beds were comfortable. We felt safe.

Pros: Great Breakfast, clean pool, quiet, safe, great shower pressure, fabulous staff, efficient response times, walking trail near by, near free way, AC worked phenomenally, laundry onsite! Shout out to Regina at the front desk. Improvements: bathroom gets a bit steamy-fan works slow and door doesn’t prop open, rooms are pricey shouldn’t be a charge for parking, and don’t care for the tree printed drapes

We booked this at the very last moment and arrived in the late evening. We were greeted by a wonderful lady at checkin. Very friendly and courteous! Our room was very nice and very clean. I would recommend this hotel to any travelers. The only thing that bothers me and this is true to most hotels, I do not feel if I am paying for a room that I have to pay to park my car in their parking lot! Don’t understand this policy!

Nice place great people, and close enough to UC Davis and the breakfast was fantastic.

The only indication that you are in the right place is the sign upon entering the parking lot. The building itself has no signage. Besides this, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff friendly enough and the breakfast adequate. Didn’t use the fitness room or swimming pool. Location was good.

We stay here at least once a year during the State Fair and have been for over 10 years. The rooms have been remodeled in the last year or so and they are very sterile and uninviting. There were also no outlets close to the bed. The non-carpet flooring makes it very loud and creates an echo throughout the room. A/C does work great. The "hot" part of breakfast was lukewarm at best and they've taken away the microwave in the lobby so you cannot heat anything up. The orange juice and coffee were both empty and it was not that busy. I also did not see the big jug of water they usually have out all day with lemons or cucumbers in it which provides a refreshing reprieve when it is 100 degrees outside. To top it off, the elevator was out of service when we left so we had to drag everything down the stairs. Used to really enjoy this place but I am just not a fan of the renovations and feel part of the service has also gone downhill while prices have gone up (& there is a charge for parking now too).

We had a problem right off the bat after checking in with the AC in our room not working. Maintenance was called but never came up to our room after a couple hours, so after calling the front desk again they finally came up and messed with the AC said it was fixed gave a lecture about how it was a small compressor AC and wasn’t like a house AC and that it would take a long time for it to cool down, mind you it’s 81° in the room and the temperature set at 60. So we left the room for a few hours to go out and when we came back, the AC was still not fixed and it was now 85° in the room so we went down to the front desk and spoke with Regina, who we had been in contact with at the front desk this whole time. She was extremely helpful with the situation and very understanding and immediately placed us in another room. She even called to verify that the AC was working in the new room approximately a half hour after we had switched over. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, but that’s about the only good thing about this hotel. The elevator was really sketchy and low and behold the morning we checked out it was out of order. The rooms have an off smell, and the lobby/breakfast area is extremely warm. We definitely will not be staying here again, I think I’ll look into the TownePlace suites that’s located in front of this hotel next time.

Check in was very slow. Was given a list of property rules to sign with no explanation. Nothing was mentioned about breakfast or the hours. Room was fine, but small bathroom and not enough light in it. There was a coffemaker in the room, but no cups. Overall a good stay, just those small things

We had a great experience, would definitely stay there again

Breakfast was good. Room was clean

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

The room is ok, but the towel hooks need another 1 or 2 no place to put the towels if 3 or 4 people in a room😊 No towel rack, towels were on top of toilet tank. Thank you

Great staff, clean rooms and decent breakfast!

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

The hotel was nice. However, our room smelled weird. The thermostat was not working properly. The location was convenient but unfortunately it is close to the train tracks. You hear the horn at night and in the early morning. The train alone would be a reason I wouldn’t stay here again.

We had a great stay while in Sacramento for my sisters celebration of life . Front lobby staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and the pool area was well maintained. The breakfast was very good and had plenty to choose from.
