Residence Inn by Marriott Sacramento Cal Expo

The main issue for me was that the landline telephones in each room are located only next to the bed rather than at the desk in each room. I asked about this and a tech came to my room an told me all rooms are like this and the phones cannot be moved. I realize most people nowadays have cell phones, however may foreign travelers many may only be using an eSim with data only may want to sue the hotel landline for local calls,

I thought the breakfast was very good and had a great selection of options. The location was very convenient, especially being close enough to the highway that it was easy to get to and get back on the road when needed, and I wasn’t bothered by traffic noise during my stay. The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was really nice and spacious. Overall, I thought the breakfast, location, and room were all great. Honestly, I can’t think of much that could be improved because everything was clean, well-maintained, and worked as it should, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. During my second stay, I arrived late at night after a camping trip, and the front desk staff went out of her way to find me a room without a connecting door and even recommended a first-floor room to help minimize noise. Overall, I really don’t have anything negative to say—the staff and facilities were both excellent.

Beautiful hotel. Super clean, new, our room was so spacious and lovely. Every employee was friendly and helpful. My only complaint was that I could hear a lot of outside noise. People that were partying outside and the trains. But my husband said he heard nothing, so I guess that depends on hard you sleep. Great breakfast. Would absolutely recommend.

The hallways near the elevators and inside the elevators smelled like a mix of dog food and cat urine….
