Very loud alot of homeless people and very busy hotel

The area around the hotel is not somewhere I would choose to stay again. There was a lot of foot traffic in the parking lot, and I saw several people who appeared to be homeless or under the influence of drugs, with some talking to themselves. Because of that, I didn’t feel comfortable leaving any valuables in my vehicle, and the parking lot didn’t feel too secure. Based on what I experienced, this will be my first and last stay at this location. One positive was the thing is the front desk clerk, he was very friendly, helpful, and professional. My room had an issue with the air conditioner. I didn’t call the front desk because I was just over exhausted from a long drive and just wanted to shower and sleep. Another thing to note is that there are no elevators. If you use a wheelchair, scooter, walker, or have mobility limitations, I recommend requesting a first-floor room. The hot water was only luke warm, not truly hot. But when questioned about the hot water it was told they were having some type of issues but the next day water was hot and just right. There is an AM/PM convenience store nearby that brings a lot of traffic to the area. If you’re looking for an inexpensive place to stay for just one night, this hotel may meet your needs. Just be aware of your surroundings,

    Parking sucked.

This is a hotel for an inexpensive place to crash for the night near Sacramento, for a convention or something like that. The room was clean and fine. But the location and the amenities are basic.

    Clean and friendly staff

The breakfast it was really poor. Friendly staff.

We traveled with our child. He loved the hotel. It was clean and we felt safe. The pool opens early (7am) and closes late (10pm). This has been rare in our travels.

Unfortunately it smelled very heavily of marijuana in the hallways and the rooms. Very small dirty gravel area for pet relief.

    clean room

Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was ok. Room was clean. The place was noisy but that’s not the hotels fault.

    There's no elevator.

I recently stayed at YOTEL San Francisco and, unfortunately, my experience did not meet my expectations. The biggest disappointment was the customer service. The staff at check-in were not very welcoming or friendly. I also asked for nearby restaurant recommendations, but they couldn't suggest even basic options such as the Denny's and the Mexican restaurant just a short walk from the hotel. As a visitor to the city, I expected the front desk to be able to provide simple local recommendations. The pool area was also disappointing because I saw a cockroach, which raised concerns about cleanliness. Breakfast was another letdown. The staff member overseeing the breakfast area was not very attentive. Coffee ran out and wasn't refilled promptly, and the waffle station was left empty for quite some time without anyone checking on it. The hotel's location is convenient, and the rooms were decent, but the lack of friendly service, poor attention during breakfast, and cleanliness concerns made the overall experience disappointing. I hope management addresses these issues, as they could greatly improve future guests' stays.

It was ok. The room was clean.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Ask for a room on the main floor if you are unable to climb the stairs.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

The location is not the best. The room was clean and the housekeeping made the bed one day but not the next. Inconsistent.

Enough parking, good breakfast, proximity to museums although need a shuttle or drive to a garage. Our bathroom door lock was not working so had to call for maintenance. AC makes lot of noise. Gas stations nearby however many homeless people can be spotted. Overall ok for the price.
