The bed and breakfast was very nice and clean, loved the breakfast room the food was great to start the day. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. Nothing we loved it all!

The property is clean and well maintained, the owner is professional and welcoming, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. We also appreciated the convenient self-check-in with a door code, which made arrival simple and hassle-free. Our only minor disappointment was the prepackaged cereal breakfast. We had expected something more like a traditional Days Inn style breakfast with eggs, sausage, ect…We noticed everyone groaned over the missing advertised breakfast….That said, it wasn’t a significant issue since there are plenty of excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. Location is amazing, There is an assigned parking spot. The property was quiet and all in all we had a wonderful stay!

Daniels House Inn is a beautiful home with lots of history and character. We stayed in the Great Room and loved it. The room had a very comfy king-sized adjustable bed that was great after long days of walking the town! The property is very close to all of the shops and attractions in Salem. We always try to find accommodations with history and this home has tons of antiques and other interesting historical documents and such. Would stay here again if we ever make it back to Salem!

From reservations to check-out, the process was simple and well communicated. Parking was easy (and free). The front door was confusing at first, but once we figured out how to use the old latch-sysyem (probably original to the Inn, which was cool) it was easy. Everything was very clean, we could tour the lower part of the house at our leisure, and our room was beautiful. We loved escaping the mainstream feel of a modern hotel and experiencing the historic atmosphere that we got from Daniel's Inn. It is located in a quiet area, but from its location, there was only a short walk to everything we wanted to do. We will definitely be staying at this Inn again so we can see the other themed rooms!

Staying in this historic hotel is quite the experience. It's stepping back in time. If you're looking for a real cultural experience in Salem, this hotel is hard to beat. The staff was also super helpful and all the instructions were super clear. The property itself is beautiful and invites you to explore. It's clear that they take excellent care of it. A word of advice for tall individuals or those who are looking for comfort, the ceilings are very low, about 6ft from the floor, and the stairs are narrow and winding. At least some of the bathrooms are shared, which is not a problem when there are no other guests. Also the tub is very old fashioned and has an even lower ceiling clearance. Again, it's part of the experience so I wouldn't change any of it, but it's not for everyone. That said, highly recommended!

It was very unique! Stayed in a very historical and clean home of Captain Stephen Daniels. We respected his home and learned a lot of history of Salem in our stay!

The property was a house from the 1600’s yes, it was clean and it gave the vibe I was going for. It was in walking distance for all our events we did. The ceilings were very low, if you are above 5’5 will can’t stand at this property. Our shower was in a mental old time tub that we had to bend down to rise for our shower. We shared a bathroom with another couple, the man walked in on me while I was taking a shower. There were only a few items for our breakfast Example: 2 pieces of raisin toast, 2 pieces of wheat bread, 2 pieces of white bread So there was 6 of us there at one point I think everyone liked raisin toast, it was the first to go

Difficult check in, unexpected shared bathroom and room infested with ants getting in our bed and clothing.

The little muffins were pretty yummy and we appreciated having coffee available when ever we wanted it. The room was super comfy and we Love the home! The period decor is amazing a we are grateful you shared this space with us! I wish there was a microwave, so we could bring back our doggie bags and reheat.

House. I love it that this type of accommodation is available and thanks to the owners for maintaining this house so well. It’s a lesson in history! Low ceilings hence not for tall people!

Beautiful space! The owners are very accommodating. Perfect location. Will definitely stay again!

Our room and the whole building was super clean and welcoming!
-
Walking distance to area The room hadn't been cleaned upon arrival. Once I informed them they came to tidy up surface areas only....the carpet and under the beds were horrific. The shared bathroom was literally disgusting....hair in the drains for starters.

Clearly a well managed historic inn. Gorgeous, comfortable, unique, in a very walkable area.
