Everything was lovely. Great owners. Be aware that Salem does not allow for inns to cook full breakfasts for guests. If you are allergic to or sensitive to cats, be aware that the owners have several cats.

Matt and Kelly did much more than maintain a clean and comfortable space. They made excellent recommendations about local attractions and advised us on transportation procedures. If we return to Salem, The Stepping Stone Inn will be our first choice for accommodations.

Fantastic location. Beautiful, historical home. The owners are so incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about local attractions. It was very cozy. Matt’s coffee in the morning, along with greetings from the cats, was the best start to the mornings.

The staff was very friendly and was very informative! They went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable stay! The location was walking distance from everything!
-
Cute place clean and walkable to everything. Nice staff

Great accommodation, and Matt was incredibly helpful in planning our visit to Salem. We were in the uppermost two rooms, so the bathroom was a bit small, but otherwise it was a perfect place to stay the night during our visit. Appreciate Matt's availability and information resources!!

Absolute Best Location in Salem. Everything about this B&B was great. Super friendly and beautiful place. Although we were told the place was full we didn’t hear a sound from others. It was a few minutes from the City witch mall and the pedestrian shopping. Also within the same distance to the trolley stop (which I highly recommend). If you’re looking for a great experience then stay here.

We cannot thank Stepping Stone Inn enough for their hospitality during our stay in Salem! It's a beautiful, central location that is in easy walking distance to everything. The home is so cozy and welcoming, the house cats are cuddly, and Matt's coffee truly gets you ready for the day. Don't think hesitate - stay here on your visit to Salem because you won't regret it! Thank you again, Matt & Kelly!

Historic. Owners are extremely kind, helpful, knowledgeable and accessible and provide clear and detailed instructions for your stay. Charming, very clean rooms with private bathrooms and large common areas for relaxing and eating. Perfect location if you’re in Salem for the night. Parking anywhere in Salem can be a challenge, especially if you are traveling in a truck or SUV. The inn owner was extremely helpful upon our arrival while we unloaded. He helped us park free of charge in a garage within steps of the inn.

Run by the kindest people (and friendliest cats!) in all of Salem, and could not possibly be more centrally located! You can walk everywhere from here, and you have a front row seat to any events in the square - it's literally right across the street. Parking in Salem is at a premium, and we are driving a crew cab truck to make it even worse, but Matt went WELL above and beyond to make sure we got a great spot. Do note - it's a lovely old house, but like most old houses, it does have steps, and they are steep. Easily navigable, but being able to go up and down steps is a must. We really really enjoyed our hosts and our stay!

The owners are friendly, knowledgeable, and made you feel at home during your stay. Highly recommended.
-
Very comfortable. Easy access to all attractions.
-
Very unique inside, clean and tidy, nicely decorated The proprietors were friendly and always around if any problems 2 friendly cats live there too. This is a true B&B and not a hotel It is an old building with amazing updates but the bathroom is small and showers are small. But very usable Not much to mention. Parking is an issue. Not much real estate around there But once you park, no real need to drive anywhere unless you are leaving town for something

Our Hosts Matt and Kelly were lovely, very friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect, everything within easy walking distance. Our bedroom, the Washington room, was perfect. We loved the historic aspects of the Inn. I loved every minute we were there and would go back in a heartbeat!
-
Lovely stay at the Stepping Stone. Matt was very helpful pointing things out locally, and their ‘butler’/cat Clifford was a cutie who welcomed us into our room. Close to everything in downtown Salem & right next to the Witch Museum & the town common. Highly recommended. Thank you!
-
Love the house cats, had my dog with me and she made friends right away with Cliff. Walking distance to most things. Very close to trolly tour to see everything. Fattys across the street has great late night cookies!
-
We LOVED the Stepping Stone Inn. Super walk-to-all location, wonderfully decorated, and innkeepers Matt, Kelly, and Bobby are genuinely delightful. (So was Clifford the cat!). They had tremendous recommendations for sites to see and terrific dining establishments. Felt like family!

This historic house is nestled directly next to the Salem Witch Museum and within walking distance of all the must-see tourist sites. The house is rich with history and the owners were lovely. They offered a low key breakfast in the mornings with deliciously brewed coffee. They also have two adorable resident cats who had fun interacting with the guests. The added perk was the property’s two adjacent parking spots located next to the home on the dead-end side street, otherwise a complimentary parking pass was provided to store your vehicle less than a block away in the public garage. I’d definitely stay here again.

Great location, right in the middle.of everything! Excellent service, great atmosphere, wonderful experience overall!!

The innkeepers were beyond helpful and kind. They made wonderful recommendations on restaurants, museums and attractions. We will most definitely stay here when we return to Salem.
