Nothing There was no refrigerator in room or access to one. No ice available. Shower was not hot. Water temperature was regulated to Luke warm. There were signs everywhere telling visitors what not to do. Owner went into our room without permission and there was no emergency. She said if we needed anything to text or call and we didn't but yet she went into our room while we were away for the day. We came back and saw things were moved. We were so uncomfortable we left a day early.

Convenient to many nearby activities and restaurants, beautiful architecture to see and comfortable inside.

Flora is an outstanding host. From the great breakfast with homemade granola and sourdough bread to the advice on what to see and do in town, Flora was great. The house is very well kept and comfortable and a nice 15-minute walk to the center of activity in downtown Salem. The house is charming and the room was very spacious and very comfortable. There isn't anything I didn't like about our stay.

Location was excellent. Water in shower needed to be a little hotter.

The house is very charming with an interesting back story. We loved reading about the history of the house and was impressed by how well the house has been preserved. We needed a place close to all of the attractions in Salem and this property ticked that box. It was within walking distance to the main hub where most of the attractions are, yet just far enough so things felt peaceful and quiet at night. We were very happy with the location of the stay. We stayed on the top floor and the stairs are quiet gruelling to climb with heavy luggage. Luckily we are physically fit but it will be a problem for someone that isn't physically fit. When we arrived at the property after a 6 hour journey our first interaction with the owner was not very pleasant. She came across very cold and unapproachable. We're used to warmer welcomes and hospitality where we are from. The wifi was really not up to standard and doing almost anything was very slow and cumbersome. We also noticed that the breakfast cereal bars in the kitchen are way past expiry date, and on the last day of our stay we wanted to make the most out of the day and asked the owner to have breakfast at a specific time in the morning, but she was not there at that time so we didn't get a hot breakfast.

The room and house are comfortable, quiet, clean, and Flora’s breakfast kept us fueled until well after lunch time everyday! The walking distance from the house to Essex Street/downtown was really great. No dislikes! I recommend the Northey Street House to anyone wanting a cozy, beautiful place in Salem!

Everything! Our Host was so lovely and knowledgeable about the area. Our room was comfortable and charming. Easy walk to downtown. Very clean. Our breakfast was delicious. I really loved that she had the history of the house in a book. I would recommend Northey Street House highly and hopefully return again. The time of year is crowded and parking is hard. It had more to do with Salem and not the house.

Beautiful home and really close to the center of town. Easy walking distance if you don’t plan to drive. Owner was very attentive and checks up with you daily if you need anything. Definitely would stay here again.

Everything! Flora was super nice, especially the scones, everything was in walking distance. We had fabulous midweek getaway!
