Additionally, the beds were very uncomfortable; the bedding was not luxurious at all. Valet parking costs $65.00, and we experienced significant delays while waiting for our vehicle. Three different staff members informed us that they were retrieving our car, but there was a lack of organization. Our room was hot, so I called maintenance. When they finally arrived, I discovered that the AC was set to "on" instead of "auto." The room didn't cool down until around 3:00 AM. We were very disappointed with the hotel we had looked forward to staying at. All these issues were shared at checkout with no response from the hotel attendant.

$70 Valet. No empyee we spoke with honored the $30 TX resident parking price because we didnt book through them;instead booking our rooms through a 3rd comapny. ( avalet was not avail for purchace on eother of the 2 other comapnies we booked through.

Although food was on the property, I wish there were options for microwaves or vending machines. There was not ice easily accessible. Parking was a pricing nightmare but once found, it was an easy walk to and from.

I was not given the Tx resident valet parking offer price since I booked online and was not able to purchase it at the hotel.

The ac stopped working on our second day we wanted to enjoy the bar but ac was also not working extremely hot. The supervisor I believe a tall young man was very helpful he gave us a full refund. As per maintenance don’t get any rooms that start with number zero. We love the menger and understand that was out of their control.

This hotel is incredible for location, history, architecture, and ghost stuff(if you believe in that). However the rooms are old and shower needs major updating, the windows allow ALL the noise from street performers in at ALL hours. The bed was very uncomfortable and the wifi is basically non existent.

2. There were a few strands of hair in the tub and sink. I washed it down the drain, but it grossed out my wife 3. The parking fees were ridiculous. $60/night, and it wasn't disclosed clearly until I secured my reservation. The hotel was very nostalgic and I appreciated its historical value, but I won't be staying there again.

This is the place to stay when you visit here is such a beautiful historical building. The qualities place is such amazing the service the hospitality if I can give more than five stars, I would.

Outstanding location—walking distance to the Alamo and River Walk. We enjoyed the nostalgia and charm of the hotel. With that said, you sacrifice a little with the age. The room and especially bathroom were on the small side. Our AC was not working properly—set for 70 but stayed at 74 the whole time. Overall, a good experience.

This is by far the worst booking I have ever had. The staff had assured me a room and when I showed up supposedly my room was not available. I then found out that it was probably given to others due to me having booked with a third party and not them directly. I will never give The Menger my business again.
