Such a great place. Great location and responsive and kind staff!

One ofy favorite hotels in Hillcrest. I don't think I ever stay here and don't love it

Great spot to stay! Right in the middle of all of Hillcrest’s hotspots. Easy check-in with staff / hotel dog, who felt more like a friendly neighbor. The lobby turns into a breakfast spot at 8AM so grabbing a quick bite and coffee before heading out is a must. The hotel is also next to a public parking lot, which saved us a headache using SpotHero for the entire weekend without issue.

Unfortunately, I didn't feel the hotel justified its price of more than $240 per night (plus $30 for parking and other fees). I stayed in a loft room and would not book that room type again. The stairs are steep, and the handrails felt loose. The bathroom, hidden behind a movable wall, along with the toilet and shower, felt more like a hostel than a boutique hotel. The room showed noticeable wear, including chipped paint and scratched walls. There were no hangers provided, and the pillows were thin and lacked support. Sleep was disappointing. The wall-mounted air conditioner was loud and had a musty odor, and the shades were not true blackout curtains, allowing streetlights into the room all night. Combined with street noise, I didn't get a restful night's sleep. If you're driving, I recommend paying for the on-site parking since street parking is limited. I also noticed unhoused individuals in the adjacent parking lot and alley during my stay. I like the hotel's modern Scandinavian-inspired concept, but it feels as though maintenance and guest comfort haven't kept pace with the design. With some updates and better attention to detail, this could be a much stronger property.

Second time staying here and had a really nice time. Lots of nice bars and restaurants near by.

Staff was great, I got assistance with parking since I had no idea where to go. The room was smaller than I expected and im 6'2" but it wasn't a deal breaker. Great location with 711 nearby for midnight snacks.

The hotel staff and property owners were very friendly. And the cafe attached to the hotel was amazing. Loved that they made their own jams and bread fresh. It was very aesthetic. Will be booking again my next San Diego trip

Good location and nice cafe on the ground level. Quite noisy and a bit cramped of a room design.
-
The staff was super awesome, personal and accommodating.

Thanks again for everything

Excellent location with amazing staff and management team.

The hotel is ideally located in the Hillcrest gayborhood:) The owners are both kind and personable—and their in-house cafe is delicious. Check-in was very easy. I got lucky with street parking while I was there. I’d definitely stay again!

Good value. Quirky / weird / cool hotel.

This is a wonderful place to stay. I had a room with the bathroom. My only issue was that the room has 2 full walls of windows with no way to block light. Just pack an eye mask. As this is located in an active neighborhood (which is an amazing location) The room is very bright all night and no way to sleep after sunrise. The restaurant is very good and the staff was helpful, however it doesn't open till 8 am so not ideal for the early riser. It is an unusual and fun space. So many codes the gate, the elevator, the room, although this does make contactless check in easy you need to have open hands for your phone and keypads. I highly recommend this amazing haven in the city.
