Perfect spot if you want to explore Hillcrest. Very short distance from downtown and surrounding areas. Very secure area! Love it!!

Facility manager Lee is friendly guy. His and his wife’s cafe on ground floor is outstanding and a must-experience. Come for breakfast or lunch even if staying elsewhere.

All of the staff here were very friendly, cheerful , and were working very hard to run the hotel. We were met at the entrance gate with a smile, they immediately gave a suggestion for something they noticed we were collectively and invisible confused about. And they made us laugh at a funny joke. Breskfast at the café was incredible! I have the French toast, coffee, and an egg with prosciutto... I was very Ipleased. Despite the amount of hoimeless people in the are, it was the prefect location for the things we had planned for our trip. Now the opportunities for improvement... first, the website is very misleading as to the quality of the rooms i had (Penthouse and studio loft). The Penthouse itself is a neat space... for a concern me room. It is big and open n and the views are wonderful, but it truly did not feel like a Penthouse. It felt like a conference room that the presenting company had run out of budgetary d just put a bed in the back corner for the conference facilitator to nap in between sessions. The windows were not insulated at the tracks at all, and even when closed you could see between the glass to the open air. Be used of this the room was also very loud. Our dishwasher had standing water in it. There were unfinished electricial boxes in the cabinets. The water pressure in the shower was very weak. We had trouble getting our door to close and stay closed. We can't ban one night and it was open. The worse though Is the back stairwell that serves as

There were some unhoused people in the surrounding area, but they weren’t disruptive and it didn’t negatively affect my experience ( maybe be a personal experience). Overall, it was a great spot for a quick solo trip, and I’d definitely stay here again!

Great studio room and a perfect location in Hillcrest!

The property was clean but unfortunately there’s quite a few homeless people right outside the property you walk past every time. 7/11 was right next door and conceived It was a contactless check in and very simple. There’s a cafe on the bottom floor I didn’t get to try but it is very convenient

I love the room and how minimalist it was

This is the most bizarrely designed place I've ever stayed at. Initially we thought it was an office space that was re-designed into a hotel, but all the bizarre "quirks" were intentional. TV on a desk facing the toilet, air conditioner under said desk making it completely ineffective and causing mold to grow on the floor. Outlets halfway up the wall, one bedside table, no bathroom mirror, toilet flushes when using the sink... I appreciate quirky hotels, but everything here is just... dumb.

Checkin was a breeze, room was clean and spacious What made the stay so special is the cute little Gooseberries Kafe in the entry. Food was amazing & the hospitality was warm. You know the food is good when locals drop in. TY LEE & VICTORIA (?), the Kafe is a beauty!!

Dangerous loft n bathroom u can see someone in the restroom

I realized that a few LED lights and candles that I brought with me to help me relax the night before were missing. I asked for two housekeeping staff that were in my room actually prior to check out and they said that they didn't know whose it was and that they tossed it in the trash. That didn't support me so I called into management and complaining and nothing was ever done to take accountability or make up for it.

Rooms are super cute, and feel very homey. Check in is easy, and the bar/cafe are precious. Very walkable to Hillcrest and all the fun stuff in that area!

The place was really clean and it looked pretty nice. It is a self check in and check out, which I thought it was really cool

Parking and access with the reception was terrific. The room was basic but just right with very nice towels. They need blackout shades.
